Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park

It’s been almost 2 years since my son crossed over. There are so many things that went wrong and at the time I would not have known. When you lose your child you are in Shock, disbelief and in the deepest grief you could imagine. My biggest regret is that I did not stand my ground when they told me I could not spend as much time as I wanted with my son. I didn’t even know that that was a thing until I talked to so many others who have said they were allowed to spend an unlimited amount of time before the burial that they wanted. I’m not sure if the guy was new but, he stood behind me like I was wasting his time and I actually had to ask him to leave the room so I could have some alone time with my son. I didn’t even get 30 minutes! Let that sink in!!!! In my opinion this is the worst experience you could have when burying your child or a loved one. And when they gave us The memorial sheets with his obituary and picture, they were actually backwards. If you want somebody or a funeral home that’s going to help you along the way, this is not the place for you. Also, they do a cleanup after every holiday and they will tell you that they throw away the flower/ wreath stands but they do not. I was not aware of the cleanup times probably because I was in shock and when I asked they said they threw them away. Then they said “ we can see what we have for you in our shed” … Funny thing, when they brought out a wreath stand they had in their shed, it was actually mine! It had the ties that we used to keep things in place. They keep your things of value! One last thing… it took over a year to get the bench that we ordered. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! If I could afford it I would have my son moved!! A side note to the company, we all keep talking about the smell! It literally smells like cats have been living in your offices for years!!! I am not a mean person, but this literally was one of my biggest regrets after losing my son. I wish so badly that I would’ve gone with another company! Please fix things, educate people, get people in there who know how to deal with bereaved parents and Anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one!

The sites are very well maintained, and the grass is kept very tidy. It looks like it might be a smaller cemetery from the road, but it's much bigger than it looks. It's really quite peaceful once you get further away from the road. It's just down the street from several restaurants and a Home Depot, so it's a great spot to visit for memorial day.
