In 2008, three guys (all licensed real estate agents) in Myrtle Beach, SC, got together and purchased a bank-owned property. They sold it about a month later and bought another distressed property. If it had legal problems to clear up, they took care of them. If it needed some degree of repair or renovation, they had it done professionally.
As each house sold they purchased another; understanding the key was to sell the property at the lowest possible price to a buyer searching for a primary residence or second home. They discovered that most people didn't know how or want to deal with the court system and the foreclosure process.
