The Washington County Life Saving Crew provides Emergency Medical Services in Washington County, Virginia. We provide 24 hour protection from one community based station located in Abingdon, Virginia.
Serving as the primary responders for medical emergencies in their area, The 40+ volunteers that comprise the Washington County Life Saving Crew, INC. serve at least 2- 12 hours shifts per month, responding to over 3800 calls in 2013 and with an average response time <1min!. These dedicated men and women, who are at least a Virginia Emergency Medical Technician- Basic when becoming a full member, take time out of their own lives and away from their families to help those in their darkest hour of need.
We hold several titles in 1ST PLACE in ALS and BLS STATE CHAMPIONIONS. All of our trucks (medical) are supplied with the latest in Emergency Medical Equipment. We are always aiming to go above and beyond to provide the upmost and unparallel care in Emergency Medical Services to our community and residents.
