The Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1968 to provide pro bono legal services to address discrimination and entrenched poverty in the Washington, DC community.
The Committee's efforts are focused in the following Areas of Service: Equal Employment Opportunity, Fair Housing, Immigrant & Refugee Rights, Disability Rights, DC Prisoners’ Rights, Public Accommodations, and Public Education.
