Founded in 1890, the Washington State Pharmacy Association is a professional trade association representing pharmacists, technicians, and students in WA.
The WSPA is a state pharmacy association that represents its pharmacist, technician, student and corporate members at a state level and at a national level through affiliation with national pharmacy associations including American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and National Community Pharmacists Association. The WSPA also works in conjunction with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, American College of Apothecaries, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations, and National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
The WSPA exists to advocate on behalf of its members to ensure pharmacy professionals are recognized, engaged and valued as essential to the healthcare team. The vision of the Washington State Pharmacy Association is to ensure everyone understands and recognizes the importance of the profession of pharmacy.
WSPA provides, Practice Academies, Collaborative Practice Tools, Billing and Audit Prevention Information and Trainings in Immunizations, Emergency Contraception and Tobacco Cessation.
The WSPA Continuing Education Department is committed in offering high quality, innovative, and applicable educational opportunities that meet or exceed industry standards for excellence in programming, safety and participant/audience amenities for pharmacists in Washington State and across the nation.
