WTFD is a combination department with part-time Paid on Shift Firefighters staffing the station on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The remainder of the time, our Paid per Call Firefighters provide coverage for emergency incidents by responding from home.

As first responders to fires, medical emergencies, and disasters, WTFD protects the lives and property of our residents and visitors. The timely and effective delivery of these services enables the WTFD to make significant contributions to the safety of Washington Township.
