Absolutely awful!!! Same as other reviews, said they would fix ring easily in two months. It’s been SIX months and my ring is still unfinished. They keep putting it off saying the same sentence “it’ll be done by the end of this week” and then WEEKS pass and it’s never done. They’re currently blaming the ring not being done because of “Covid”
Took my wife's wedding ring to get fixed and they told us 1 or 2 weeks. After two months went to check on it and they said they are having a hard time getting the stones. They told us they would call us when finished. Went back after another couple months now they said that the stones came in and were getting on with fixing it. After waiting another couple of months, a total of over six months we went and just asked for the unfinished ring. They were all very friendly, but customer service lacked big time!
Got my fiancé's ring resized here. They are very friendly and great to do businesses with. Cheap prices! Love their work!
My husband was looking for a wide leather band watch...prefered timex indiglo with day and date. Mr. Watkins looked through his inventory found a band then found a watch and put the 2 together for him. He is very very happy!!
Never repaired my mothers clock. Took it apart and it sat there for 3 months. Kept saying they were waiting on a part, just got the part, or letting it run a few days to make sure. We finally went in and got the clock and it was in pieces.
We exclusively use Watkins for jewelry care and repair. Their small town friendly service and small town prices very reasonable! can't be beat! :
I dropped off an antique mantle clock late in July to have it cleaned. It wasn't consistently chiming but kept perfect time. Watkins said they normally took 30 days for cleaning but weren't busy and thought they would be done with my clock in 10 days. I called back 2 months later and asked how they were doing with my clock. They asked me to describe it. After a long wait they came back and told me it wasn't done. I asked if I needed to keep calling back and they said that would be ok. So I called after another month and they said it was done. When I went to pick it up the owner called it a piece of junk. When I told him I didn't find that amusing then he started telling me he could have sold it to many customers that wanted it. When I got it home it was running slow by 33 minutes per day. I called Watkins back 2 days later and left a message letting them know of the problem. Nobody called my back. I spent $125 and drove 4 hours to let them ruin my clock. They were very unprofessional and apparently incompetent. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I don't understand why the two writers on the comment section would have trouble. They have always been profesional with me for many many years. There work and products of the best quality I have found any where. it's the only place I buy my jewelry and have anything repaired. I won't evey let anyone else replace a battery in our watches, that's what I think of there work compared to others. The only other think I can say about the other two complainers is maby you bought a product that was junk. or not of good quality. there is a huge difference between quality and cheep. Just saying.
I cracked my Seiko watch crystal, so I brought it in. They replaced it within a week! Great job, or so I thought. A few weeks later I wore the watch in the shower which I had always done previously and it was filled with water. Uh oh. Took it back and they said: "It's not water-proof, it's just water-resistant. You're not s'posed to wear it in the shower." I told them it had never leaked before, but ok. I said "See what it would cost to fix it and let me know. If it costs more than $20, don't do it!" 3 weeks later, I get a call: "The watch is done, come pick it up." I figured no call, thus they were able to fix it for free. When I got there, they said, "That'll be $130!!!!" "What!?" I said. "First of all, I told you not to work on it if it was going to cost money, and second, it only cost $80 when I bought it." The older man said, "Well, just take it then, no charge, it's Christmas." I didn't want to do that because they had obviously done a lot of work to it and I didn't want to screw them. I told them that and gave them $50. It is a self-winding watch and has been stopping irregularly in the 3 weeks since I picked it up. I'm so sorry I ever took it there. Beware. They do not seem to be competent.
