I love teaching here and working with the owner, Annamae. The store is always busy. She has a great staff and is usually working out front with the customers too. She has more fabric panels aka cheater quilts than anywhere I've ever seen. The store is a favorite destination for quilters everywhere. Many customers and students drive 1-2 hours to get here. Just outside Kutztown, PA on a Mennonite farm. Your husband will love sitting and relaxing and watching the horses, wildlife, the stream flow by. Check out my Jody's Jems patterns when you visit.
Beautiful store. Well organized and stylish fabric
Have a large selection to choose from. Colors are fabulous. They have wool and different blends at fair prices.
Adorable shop, run and owned by the most sweet woman you should ever hope to meet. They have a wide variety of fabrics and notions. The women who run the shop are very friendly, and if their shop doesn't have what you need they often get it in for you or will recommend you a place that does. From my understanding they also teach classes in the building, I'm am not sure what is taught however the classroom always has a few women working on quilts inside. Overall a wonderful place to be
I now live 2 hours away, and I still go there for the bulk of my quilting fabric. Anna Mae's prices are the best ANYwhere. The photo shows about 1/6th of her fabric and about 1/10th of her store. She's got 7,000 or more bolts. The rest? Paltry by comparison.
Great selection of fabrics. Can find some items here you won’t find in your typical fabric stores. Pleasant, knowledgeable employees. Fun place to visit!
We bought a few items and some local tomatoes.
My first time visiting this week after living so close for 7 years. I have 6 children that I have to take with me just about anywhere I need to go, in addition one has special needs who can melt down and struggle with transitions fairly often. I was greeted upon entering and treated very kindly by staff. They are sweet and made me feel comfortable which speaks volumes as we normally get “the eyeballs” in the general public. Something I always appreciate about Mennonite run stores is how my children are treated as blessings. The store has many options and seems to have all your sewing needs to accompany fabric. Good prices and we will definitely be back- probably too often .
The shop had saved me and some fellow students quite a few times. They have always had the fabric or accessories I and other students I've taken here, needed. Last minute shopping trips before class for the win. Plus the prices can't be beat, and Terry have good homemade treats for sale on Thursdays. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, will always help you find what you need.
Huge selection of high quality fabrics, notions and more. Worth the trip!
