Wearwood Elementary

This school severely damaged my mental health while i was attending it. Quite frankly it killed my enjoyment of learning. The environment was quite judgmental and definitely brought other students down who also no longer attend this school. I’m in a much better state of mind now and also going to a better school in a different district that’s loving, caring and makes me care about my learning experience again.

My daughter went to kindergarten here and Ms. Bonville was her teacher. I never imagined such a cold as ice person would ever want to work with children, and am regretful that she was my daughters introduction to the public school system. I try not to let one terrible represenative of any type of business affect my overall opinion and there are mostly wonderful teachers at this school, but Ms. Bonville was a nightmare. My daughter would come home in tears regularly and would get frowny faces sent home almost daily for talking and and I would discipline her and was about at my wits end when I began getting asked by other parents about if the same thing, meaning excessive complaints of talking was happening with my kid. We soon discovered that her expectations of students were in fact unrealistic and better suited for older children...or robots. She was essentially chipping away at the little self esteem of these 5 year old children, they couldnt ever do right long enough to get her approval.My daughter is now in the sixth grade and has NEVER had problems since graduating this womans kindergarten. I had a parent teacher conference with her and the principal in which she came in, told me my daughter was immature and got up and left! You could tell the principal was embarrassed. But I had to keep sending my child to be alone with this woman for 8 hours every day and I spent the entire year uneasy and worried.

Great school !!! teachers and staff actually care for the children like I have never seen before

I played a basketball game here and it was a decent school so i give it 4 stars.

Excellent school and a fantastic staff that truly care about the students!
