Weathervane Seafood Restaurant

Being a traveler, we weren't sure what this place would be like since it's not on the coast. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the lazy man's lobster....best decision ever. It was hot, served in melted butter, and got the most of the meat. I would not have gotten all of the meat that the cook did. I had the watermelon margarita and it was very tasty. Also, ordered the deep fried mushrooms and they were awesome. Clean, large, friendly atmosphere.

The lobster bisque and clam chowder was too salty and lacked flavor. The twin lobsters was great, except the top part of the lobster wasn't fully cooked, leaving the half of the roe black and inedible. The Manager explained that it was cooked in a hurry and will tell the chef to turn the lobster over next time. It's an explanation but doesn't fix the current issue.

Always an incredible deal on Lobsters and never dissapoints. 2 large Maine Lobsters with mash and season veg on the side, there was no after after picture because nothing every remains

Liked this place. Prices are reasonable in compare to other sea food places. Would love to come again if I'm in town.

Appetizers, drinks and service were good, but the main courses left quite a bit to be desired. Ordered fried native shrimp and the batter overwhelmed the taste of the shrimp, and some were not cooked fully. Told waitress about dissatisfaction. To her credit, she tried. Manager made no attempt to make amends. Took the food home and will cook it more fully. Also noticed jump in prices from the last time being here. Better off to look elsewhere. Not the same classy restaurant that it used to be. Post visit...took the food home and wasn't worth the effort to cook further. It's too bad that the quality of this restaurant has deteriorated to the point that we won't return. Don't waste your money here...look for Newick's, the Lobster Boat in Merrimack, or a Legal Seafood.

Usually eat there once a month ,the food is always fresh and consistent as is their clam chowder. Ate there yesterday and had one of my favorite pic two combo of haddock and fantail shrimp,with their fabulous onion rings. Decided to get a lobster roll to go ,for a snack later at work and man was o ever disappointed. $18.99 for a tiny amount of lobster maybe 3+ ounces but really. There's a small market in town that makes fresh real lobster rolls twice the size for about $11. Will be back for great seafood and chowder but never another lobster roll.

Food is Ok. Nothing special as far as tried seafood goes. Portions for the cost was adequate. Clams are tiny bellies the cheapest ones that are available The haddock seemed like previously frozen, but good portion if that's more important to you. The large shrimp are farm raised, or at least tasted like farm raised. Although the menu says the smaller ones are native. I should have gotten them. Service is very good. Clean environment.

We enjoyed the twin Lobsters for Father's day. The steamers were done to perfection and absolutely scrumptious. We are very satisfied as usual with all of the food. Service is always above and beyond expectation. Definitely recommend it.
