'library quiet' is not the same as quiet in most other places. people go to a library often in search of real quiet. personally i have trouble finding it here. rustling one's book or newspaper, typing, the steps involved in checking out a book are all fine in a library. however some people don't notice their own volume or lack of brevity. this definitely interrupts library quiet. most often i notice this coming from employees, one man in specific. today a lady next to me packed up her belongings and as she left, he stopped talking. finally. she said 'sure, NOW he stops talking.' the man apparently likes to be helpful but he doesn't seem to understand brevity nor using a 'library voice'. he had been annoying me too, and probably several other people in this big room. too much sound also happens at the check-out station a lot. i really hope the management makes an effort to create more quiet spaces and helps the staff learn how to develop library voices. otherwise the place is clean & organized. there seems to be a lot happening. most of the staff are kind & helpful.
Wonderful staff, wonderful services, fast to correct a problem if it's brought to their attention, and always bringing something new and creative to the space. They just started a plant/trimmings swap right on the heels of their new puzzle swap, and when they did a small renovation they added a cute little fake mouse home instead of trying to cover up a divit in the siding. Very cute.
They have a great selection and setup. Almost half the library is dedicated to a children's section so it's wonderful for kids. There's also a smaller side room for young adult novels with a few tables for people to study or read at. Other tanks are available around the building, as well as some bigger conference rooms. There's a hefty notification and fiction selection, including displays of recent titles and recommendations. I've gotten a lot of great books from those that I hadn't heard of, so I'm very grateful for the recommendations. There's also the never ending book sale which often has some great finds and is rotated frequently with new additions. Books are $1 or less for most. They have small reusable bags available for $1 as well if you want one or find that you need one after a big trip. There are also self checkout machines which I always appreciate. The library of things section has cooking sheets and pans, stud finders, cricut machines, and all kinds of useful items for borrowing.
One of the nicest libraries in the state, the facilities are lovely and above all the staff here is exceptional. They are caring and informative, and I always feel welcome. I learn something new from Cheryl every time I visit : Definitely motivates me to keep reading!!
Weaver is a fantastic library. Wide selection of books, movies, and music plus a children's section with a play area to keep them busy. Weaver has many events and helpful staff who clearly enjoy their jobs. They also have a summer reading challenge which is the perfect way to incentivise people of all ages to read.
My kids and I love this library. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They love the summer reading challenge too! It gets them to read during any downtime they had like in the car and before bed. If any staff from the library reads these reviews please know that my family appreciates you guys!
This library is more like a pool hall at times. Loud annoying patrons, indifferent staff that let people do whatever they want. Don't come here to study!
The front desk ladies talking very loud, joking around talking about there personal life while we here, no respect at all making so much noises, laughing... not professional at all, looks more like park than library
The children's area is great, although my child has complained that the weaver painting is scary to some children beautiful painting though amazing service!
Been going here for 25 years plus. Great staff. All new books are in front. Easy in and out scanning your own books out. Always clean
