I love the people at this water department. I feel they go the extra mile in being helpful. I have experienced great customer service from them!
Terrible customer service. They treat you like a robot. Always talking over you. I’m not dealing with these people anymore. It’s best to set up and online account and deal with a computer than people like this. The only decent person there is Tracy. Most everyone else are terrible towards their customers.
I have lived in many different cities in Missouri and I have never experienced such a horribly run utility company. Super high late fees, they shut off your water without even calling or letting you know that you missed a payment, and setting up automatic payments is a huge pain. This is the first time I have ever given a 1-star review, but this water department really earned it.
Oh, all the things I could say, WORST customer service. They push people off the phones, raise voices when the customer is frustrated and unfortunately they are the ONLY water department in the area. If we had some other company to go through they would make a KILLING by just being nice to people. Also, refused to help me set up an arrangement for 3 hours so my family could have water until I have enough time to pay the bill. Also is charging me for trash at my business location and I have NEVER received my cans been there since march and every time I bring it up its 'We will bring it by this week" I HATE Webb City water.
I bought a new house and went in to turn on the water. I was informed that the water had been off for 90 days so it had to be inspected first which is an additional cost. The guy shows up and starts randomly looking around the house at the walls so I ask him "what are we inspecting"? He says "the entire house"? I asked why and he said "Because the water has been off for 90 days" I don't know what that has to do with the price of rice in China but I have had 2 inspections on this house by the bank and Derek Gander. This guy didn't look at the roof, didn't check the plumbing, didn't look at anything that really mattered. So basically, I had to pay $ for a guy to come walk around with a clip board and tell me that I am good except need to put the covers back on my outlets which I removed the night before to paint. Then I got a call from one of the women at the WD and she said "When can you meet us to turn your water on"? I responded "Why do I have to be there for you to do your job"? She said, "It's just our policy". Can anyone please explain the logic to any of this? I thought for sure that the inspections would have been on the meter and plumbing. She told me that it had to pass "Code" but the inspection was nothing to do with the meter or plumbing. Just walking around with piece of paper on a clipboard. Have fun setting up with Webb City until they drop these silly requirements.
TERRIBLE! My next bill will be paid in buckets of penny’s for their inconvenience fee. Also, be sure to get you deposit back that they earn interest on over a lifetime if your a homeowner and real estate tax payer! I’d encourage those who also have a dissatisfied taste to formal complaints with the Federal Trade Commission - Consumer Protection Division, Department of Natural Resources, EPA, Attorney General, and any other unique avenues to create problems for this municipality.
Lady that answers the phone is annoying. She doesn't know how to communicate properly and doesn't answer basic questions. Also this is the only water company in the United States tht requires to see your lease or deed to switch water service into your name. They also require you to come into the office and can't switch service over the phone like every other normal utility company.
Move in over a week ago paid my deposit on May 31st. Was told I should have my trash can by Thursday June 6th. Still haven't got one. Called this morning and they wouldn't give me a straight answer as to when my trash can will arrive! So why am I paying a deposit if yall cant get my dang trash can!!!!!
Lady that answers the phone is hateful and rude. The fact you have to provide a lease agreement to have services put in your name is ridiculous. Front desk ladies were just as venemous as the hag that answers the phone.
They did not send anything in the mail, nor email a reminder for bill. They instead just cut off the water.
