Welch Middle

I love this school and I was going to go till I found out about my best friend going there and that’s when my sister freaked out and said I couldn’t go because she didn’t want my boy best friend and his friends guiding me through the school. My cousin went there and he said it was a ghetto, but fun school and I agreed because I’m a boujii preteen girl and I wish I could go but then my cousin would have to come and my family wouldn’t let her go if I went anyways. I wish I could go to Welch because that’s my dream school for some reason and I wanna see my guy best friend before I leave the school over the summer and I would kill to see him any day I love him . GO WELCH MIDDLE SCHOOL !!!!!!

Not horrible, but bad school, teachers lets the "cool kids" skip class and be out of dress code. plus theirs way too much bullying here. i wish i never spent 7 months at this school, im about to move though, thank god.

Ok, so I'm a new student coming from Fondren MS, as of now, I am having a great time at Welch. The teachers actually give out challenging work unlike any other schools I've been to., and I absolutely love it! I'm planning on being a great student this year, and I'm gonna give my teachers all the time they need to give, explain, and walk me through the work: on a step-by-step process to help my brain get the proper knowledge it needs to help me succeed. I just don't like the fact that in the mornings the teachers let the "bad" or "popular" or whatever you want to call them students enter the classroom and distract/interrupt the newer kids from completing the do-nows and learning. Detention is very well needed, for many students act up and do the unspeakable when the teachers ask them to do something like: "Stop talking!" or "Move to that seat over there; you're letting your "friends" distract you from learning." And the weird thing about it is that the students not saying ALL catch little attitudes towards the teachers over a simple thing. I personally do not know of anything that goes on in other teachers classes, but from my knowledge, Welch MS will not be "The Greatest Middle school in the south" - as the announcements likes to say for long if noone takes actions for these students actions. I recommend having to put an extra set of staff on duty to monitor classes every half an period. Giving the school 4 stars... hopefully in the future I'll be able to give it 5! *And I'm not saying that I'm the teachers pet just by stating my opinions on what should be done, but if not me - someone had to state some ideas, and it was taking people too long to acknowledge the school that "The Famous Beyonce" went to for its flaws.* Welch overall, is a great school, minus the extra TalkBack from the students. I highly recommend parents to bring their child here if they want their kid to receive the right amount of education. In my perspective, Welch MS is satisfying, yet it could be so much better. I wasn't fazed when I found out Beyonce went to this school because I honestly DON'T CARE. Every now and then you hear someone saying: "OH MY GOSH! IM SITTING IN THE SAME ROOM BEYONCE SAT IN!" And even worse: the students act like they only came here because Beyonce went here. There's that one thing Beyonce got that the students won't tolerate having, because they're too distracted on going to the school 'The Beyonce' went to - an education. We aren't realizing - and this goes for the teachers/staff and principal too: the true meaning Welch was made was to help students receive an education - so act like that! Let's make more students famous - by giving them an education! You never know if we have hidden talents without criticism. And I'm giving criticism on Welch because I know Welch can do so much more! My best friend and I went to Welch from 2009-2011, and all we've been talking about it all night. We miss this school. Back when everybody knew everybody, but still hated everybody. This place holds a place very dear to my heart. 10000 out of 10, would relive evrey mili-second of my time here. I met some of my best friends here. People who I love very much. I miss you Welch.

When I was a student there I was the minority; white. Got beaten up almost every single day for being white and chunky; I was bullied severely to the point of trying to commit suicide. I tried to reach out to teachers, counselors, and the principals but they ignored my cries for help and instead said it must be my fault. They said I should change myself and just stay out of the way. They are the worst people on the planet. I am still affected today from this trauma.

I DO BELIEVE THE SCHOOL NEEDS A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT, MY SON IS MARKED ABSENT AND ATTENDANCE WON'T FIX THAT EVEN AFTER I PERSONALLY SPEAK TO THE TEACHERS AND THEY CAN VOUCH FOR MY SON BEING IN CLASS. YES THERE IS ALSO A LOT OF KIDS THAT NEED A LITTLE MORE DISCIPLINE BUT WE AS PARENTS CANNOT BLAME THE SCHOOL, OR TEACHERS FOR WHAT US PARENTS SHOULD BE DOING AT HOME. AFTER ALL ,EDUCATION DOES START AT HOME. MY SON IS A BOY WITH AWESOME GRADES, AND EXCEPTIONAL SKILLS, AND HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT OTHER KIDS HOLDING THE CLASS FROM LEARNING, BUT HE HAS MANAGED TO IGNORE THAT AND BE TOP OF HIS CLASS. I MOVED MY SON LAST YEAR TO WHAT SEEMED A PROMISING SCHOOL AND HIS GRADES DROPPED TERRIBLY, ENDED UP MOVING HIM BACK TO WELCH WHERE HE PICKED UP HIS GRADES. OVERALL I'M SATISFIED WITH THIS SCHOOL, YES IMPROVEMENT WOULD BE VERY NICE.

Welch middles school is a awesome school, but then its really strict but most students are still bad we all still fight we still skip classes.But the SCHOOL IS NOT BAD ITS THE STUDENTS THAT MAKES IT LOOK BAD im still going to welch middle school.Yes we are all ghettowell not all, but most of us.But thats just uss too badd.But the school is still good and they just need to change a couple of rules and fire some of the teachers there.Sometimes we go on field trips and the people that works where we going sometimes they will say we did a good job.So were NOT ALWAYS BAD.Sometimes we can be good if we want too.The school is dirtybecause of the kids.Most of the students are nasty and freaks wel not most, but someBut nobody can't change that!!
