Nice campground with friendly staff. It has a beach area and a dock. Our site had water and electricity, both 30 and 50 amp. It was quiet: no loud music, no loud drunk people, no screaming kids. There isn’t much to do in the area as Grand Rapids is about 20 miles away. It’s a good campground to just relax and read or have fun on the lake. There are also hiking trails.
This campground is a good choice if looking for inexpensive, mediocre camping facilities. As camping goes the neighboring campers can make or break a visit so that’s not on them but I had to leave early due to loud, crude language … definitely wasn’t “family friendly” , drunk talk is annoying, especially at 1am Nice playground structure for kids, beach could use some TLC/.drudge and add a couple benches. The picnic.table was broken ion my site, fire pit too small for decent fire.
Nice quiet campground. Owners are super nice. Awesome new playground. Bathhouse is a little bit of a walk. Not a lot of activities planned. Playground: Brand new playground that the kids love! Restrooms: The bathhouse is a hike from the campsites, but it is clean. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome on leash
Great campground, nice lake access. Very friendly owners. You'll see Betty owner behind the counter of their very convenient country store, she is super sweet! Jim owner is great and will help with anything.
I dry camped for 3 days, great time. Got me a hot shower on my last day. They have a store on the property, and they sell Beer also. Great place
No detail has been spared by the owner! From the beach to the movie night on the big screen for the kids, the BBQ with ribs and pulled pork to the UNREAL fireworks show!! We had an absolute blast!! Highly recommend!!!!
Super friendly people, nice sites but not for LARGE RV's. Laid back, comfortable, lake access, clean and woodsey setting with very nice grounds. Close to town but well out of the traffic, peaceful and relaxing.
Beautiful campground in the woods, gorgeous in the fall! Sites were good size, owners were beyond nice! If you’re camping in Hastings, MI, this is definitely the park to stay at!!!
Cute campground! Very clean, rustic spots are huge and shady which is really nice because with kids we dont feel so bad if they get a little rowdy lol they have a nice play area for kids, and a nice swim area as well! Very quiet, although we haven't experienced the weekend yet ; located not too far from town so if you need to run for errands it's easy. We don't usually camp and campgrounds, but we would definitely come back here!
Welcome Woods Campground is a family oriented place. It's a good place to camp. They are under new management this year and have done some improvements. They make sure everyone feels welcome. It's kind of home away from home. They also have a country store too.
