Description

When we first opened the doors of the Northwest Arkansas Free Health Center in 1986 in South Fayetteville, it was for one purpose: to welcome all residents of Northwest Arkansas with consistent, quality health care. We were determined to make certain that there were no barriers, financial or otherwise, to that welcome.

Our name has changed to WelcomeHealth. We have moved to a new facility on Woolsey Ave. with twice as many exam rooms, as well as a community room. We’re excited about these changes and how they have improved our patients’ experience, but our mission remains the same.

All are welcome here, all are treated with respect and dignity, and all receive the best care available.

We’re here for the uninsured, underinsured and the insured alike. You can rest assured that we will welcome you regardless of your ability to pay.

This place is a joke. The don't care anything about there patients. I don't see how they are even still open. The don't have any organization so they can't find your documents so they just refuse to help you. On top of that the doctors are very rude absolutely no beside manner. Very unprofessional would give negative stars if I could.

WelcomeHealth could’ve stated before I scheduled an appointment for severe anxiety, they don’t treat for this sort of thing. I’m pointing this out for anybody in the future having a similar issue,  please save yourself a pointless trip. Marr-Lynn Flory insinuated my thoughts of suicide were likely fabricated and farce, and they don’t offer medication for this, even knowing my history of bipolar disorder. Felt after leaving here a bottle of Jack and a handgun would’ve been more productive. This isn’t an “all health care” facility.  I was hoping for a referral. Which is a written order from a doctor to see a specialist. Which I was not provided, and thus not able to receive the proper treatment I needed. This wouldn’t be considered negligence now would it?

My son is disabled and we found out about this clinic from a dental assistant. This place is amazing!! I would like to thank all the wonderful staff and Doctors for volunteering their time to help individuals like my son  who cannot afford expensive dental care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Love this place. I have been for the medical And dental clinics. Although when going for a dental appointment please note that the appointment time is not the exact time you get seen. Be prepared to stay for a little while at least because if it's your first time you will have to participate in a dental hygiene class and then it's first come first serve with the order in which you get dental service. It can take a few hours if there is a high volume of people. But not always!

Very rude nurse practitioner. She came in with an attitude and accused my husband of drug seeking! Bear in mind, this was our FIRST visit and he was treated as if he was a criminal.  We just wanted to find out what was going on with him, but instead we were treated with disrespect. Will definitely not return

I would give this a negative 5 star review I love the rlfront people don't get me wrong but the doctor I'm seeing I'm not so happy she has a rude know it all answer she cuts me off when I tell her my problems and what I need they don't do blood work and to be honest bringing religion into the work place not only that she made me feel horrible about my weight

On Oct. 18, 2018 I went to this facility to have a broken molar removed.  They took an xray.  When the dentist came to me I explained I had extremely large roots and that they have had to ALWAYS break the tooth apart to remove a molar.  I had even told him that another dentist in another state had said she thought they went into my sinuses. I have had to have several removed.  He of course did not listen or take into consideration this fact.  If he had said he thought it was best he didn't try to perform the procedure I would have left gladly.  I respect people that know their limitations and have the intelligence to express them.  He did not though and then I was numbed with a couple of shots and he started the procedure. He tried to remove it in one piece.  It was in fact the worst experience in my life!  The inside of my upper and lower gum/bone lines are swollen, purple and black from bruising and my jaw is so sore I still can't chew, I have cut marks on the inside of my mouth where he twisted and scraped my mouth and my front lower teeth gum is bruised where the tool he was using mashed into it.  I have been able to suck and blow air through the extraction site since I left the doctor which means there is a hole that was left in the floor of my maxillary sinus cavity because the root was up into that cavity.  This normally requires a couple of stitches to ensure proper healing.  He did NOT wear a face mask and only put a gown on halfway through the procedure.  This procedure took so long he continued to ask me if I needed another numbing shot.  The pain I suffered through was the worst I have ever physically felt EVER.  He was not a student, you could tell he had been a dentist for some time and perhaps volunteering for way too long as well as his patience for his work is minimal.   At one point I heard him clearly say "this hand piece is broken so it's making it difficult".  I finally reached a point I just said "stop, don't touch me anymore!"  I asked if he got it all and he said no that there is "probably a small piece still in there but he thinks it will be fine".  I was handed a bottle of antibiotics and ibuprofen and sent on my merry way.  I was in extreme tears as I walked out of the building and petrified for my life truly.  I have no idea how this is going to heal and I am now going to have to go to a REAL dentist to see if my jaw is actually broken or not.  I know now the procedure should have been done 1. by a professional that cared about his work and the people he worked on 2. by an office that was much more prepared with proper equipment.  I understand that this is free care but that does NOT give them the liberty to torture an individual and if they cannot perform these procedures with professionalism and according to safety guidelines which I am sure they have then they should turn the patient away.  I will be following up with someone on a state level regarding my experience with these people.  The fact that he never even put a face mask on should have given me a warning for the disregard to those that can't afford proper, professional care.  I do NOT recommend anyone going here ever.  Find some other alternative, yes you can get free care but go somewhere else even if you have to beg.  Not one followup from this review.

Best dental experience I have ever had. Stopped bleeding within the hour an only took a couple of minutes to extract my tooth. I have had no pain whatsoever

Dr.Norys is an amazing human being! All the staff have always been super nice! This place will treat you with dignity and the upmost respect. Will try to keep going there as long as I can.

My mom has been going here for years and they are amazing. They are really good about keeping people informed on what they are doing tests for and are really compationett with family members
