Mississippi Welders Supply Company was founded in Mondovi, WI in 1939. Originally operating with a network of dedicated driver-salesmen, the company grew along the Mississippi River and now includes 11 locations across three states, stretching away from the river an into a much larger region. The company is headquartered in Winona, MN and owned by the Peterson family. Don Peterson and his children Brad and Jane are active in the business, providing leadership and ethical guidance in daily operations. Don, Brad, and Jeff Peterson are all veterans, with Jeff currently away from the business on Navy duty. They are responsible for the designation of the company as being veteran-owned.
MWS’s tenacity in following the company mission and utilizing sound business practices has ensured strong relationships among employees, manufacturers, and loyal customers and lead to a tradition of healthy growth.
