the frontline workers are super heroes and above them tim is the go to troubleshooter and the joint is so clean and neat it never smells like piss like many of their competitors do. its physical therapy crew gets a standing ovation from me im on my third visit in the last few years. its a good place for old farts like me to have fun or peace quiet that i seldom get at home.
I've been a resident here for two and a half years and this place has become my home. I had been at another facility before and I'm so glad to be back at Wellbrooke. The staff are good workers and have become like family to me.
So strange how two places in the same town can be owned by the same corporation and be so vastly different. Admittedly, at first, there was some issues with staff. I admit to being demanding about the care my father receives; but he is my father, and I will advocate for him no matter what. The difference between Wellbrooke and the other place in town also starts with a 'W' is that the staff treated my father respectfully, my mother with kindness, and never cussed at me. My dad enjoyed going to the dining room. He made friends. He was social. Lively. Just night and day from that other facility where he laid in bed all day and slept. He was so isolated and 'down'. Wellbrooke has been so much better for him.
Staff caring & very friendly. Food in room don't know about dining room & billing definitely substandard. Must have conversations with staff to have special needs in room & at therapy filled no request was complicated otherwise, its general care. Windows in rooms, walls ugly depressing colors. Above average grounds maintenance & slightly above average cleanliness. Family member was there short term for physical therapy.
Beautiful and clean facility. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. There is lots of food options to help keep a healthy diet. Overall, a great facility.
My mother was in here for about 3 weeks I asked them to work with her so she could care of herself on somewhat level after the 3 weeks she returned home and she's completely non mobile they did not do anything to help her. He was left in the bed until I got there then she was got up and now I have spoke to a few other staff members and they said this happens a lot. I am very unsatisfied I would not recommend this place to anyone's loved ones
The facility is very well maintained, food is pretty decent, staff is friendly. A little slow to respond to nurse/call lights.
This place is HORRIBLE! Our grandpa was there and fell out of bed and was screaming for help for over 2 hourshe wet himself during and if it wasn’t for EMT’s passing by with another patient, he’d probably be dead. When we went to visit, I witnessed another patient being talked down to by a young nurse and disrespected. I was in shock! Let’s add the fact that they didn’t record ANYTHING in his charts or on record for 12 days! Then 4 days later say he refused therapy for 4 days so he can’t get insurance coverage. We have video evidence of him doing therapy. They also wait hours upon hours to even poke a head in to check on their patients. There’s so much more, but this would be a novel. If you love your family/friends… DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! I would rate this place at a -10 but that’s not an option.
Horrible experience and I would give zero stars. I will never take anyone here again. They aren’t equipped or experienced enough to take care of anyone with any medical issues. No communication with the Family. We felt the need to check on our loved one several times throughout a day. They were very slow with requests and it took demanding they ask the doctor for something for nausea. Too much more to list. Didn’t update information from 2018 & left a message about my Mom for my Dad who passed in 2018.
Please, if you care about your loved one, do not bring them here. I work in healthcare, and I went to visit my Dad today. I timed how long it took them to answer a call light. 33 minutes! I called the ED and left a voicemail and didn’t get a return call. My Dad is stuck in isolation due to Covid. He has no clock in his room. No working telephone. I reported it this morning and he told me he still doesn’t have a phone. Our only communication with him is through facebook. He left me a message that said still no working phone and call light on over an hour. I called to ask about this and was told “he’s not our only patient”. So then it’s acceptable to let call lights go on for over an hour for anyone!!He has a little clock widget on his laptop. He went without dinner last night. No fresh water delivered to him. I was already garbed up im my protective gear and I had to get him water from the faucet. Next step is Board of Health. Please don’t bring your loved one here because they will not get proper care. If this is happening to my Dad, which I promise it is, it is happening to the other elderly and NOT acceptable!
