Wellesley College's premiere Shakespeare performance troupe. Our Spring production will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Hannah Nies ‘21.
The purpose of our Society is to study Shakespeare as a means for intellectual development and to encourage love and appreciation of Shakespeare and his works in the College and greater communities. We convey this appreciation in many forms, most notably by the production of one of the Bard's works every semester at our own theatre in the Shakespeare House. Recent productions include Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, The Tempest, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and Fall 2016's upcoming production of Henry V. All productions are student-directed, student-acted, and student-constructed. The play, most certainly, is the thing.
