Came here voluntarily due to extreme levels of stress and was admitted involuntarilyno clue why, they simply told me it's policy I was placed under a 72 hr psychological evaluation after which I was forcibly "voluntarily" admitted to a behavioral facility. I asked them for discharge papers and they denied my request. I asked if I had a choice and they affirmed I did not. The staff was very rude and had no clue how to stick a needle into someone's arm. I was asked by staff if my vitals were accurate as if they didn't know what normal vitals are supposed to look like.
Took my grandma here monday for symptoms of stroke. The staff was very unorganized and clueless. No one on the floor could do a proper IV without it blowing out. The First Lady jammed the needle into my sick grandmother’s arm. The second girl acted like it was her second day on the job. They brought the machine that is supposed to pinpoint exactly where to put the IV and they still couldn’t get it. My grandmother was left screaming. We decided to leave and get her out of there cause they were causing more pain then what my grandma had going on. The nurse Carlee was very rude in the end because we were leaving caught her rolling her eyes. No one there is trained to do their jobs correctly. My grandmother repeatedly told them she had to use the bathroom and couldn’t walk and they ignored her. She ended up almost peeing on the floor. There were 4 nurses in the room at one time all clueless. Whole place needs to be retrained. Never going there again. I’ll plan for the worst before I ever step foot in that place again.
They really don’t care about you. They will send you out the door if you were half way dead. They need to clean house and put a staff in there that cares. I do not recommend going there unless you feel like sitting for a long time to be sent home not knowing your results until you find out by a specialist. I rather drive hours away to another hospital. Good Luck with this hospital.
Emergency room was a joke nurses were rude. Waited there for over 5 hours with a heart condition with no end in sight.I finally walked out of there. They said they were waiting for test. It was though they forgot all about you. Next time I will go to Kennestone hospital. I daughter had a operation in less time than I had test ran.
Been waiting here two hours and counting to get a simple pee sample taken. Seen 5 people come after me and get seen before me. I’ll put 0 stars if I could Update: been here 5 hours in total, 4 in the waiting room, 1 in the back room. and STILL haven’t been seen. The doctor hasn’t even came to speak. Just sitting in the back. Listening to laughter from the staff as a full ER is waiting to be seen. Worst hospital experience in my life!
Me and my kids have had visits in ER for Strep recurring and instead of looking at the symptoms like they should they go with what ever a test says disregarding every other symptom. If that’s the case replace the doctors and nurses and hire teenagers who can swab your nose and throat and read results from a test, I’m not coming just for a test but your trained expertises. I’ve had some good experience in the past but when it comes to my kids that’s just dangerous.
I was a bit surprised to read so many negative reviews regarding care at Wellstar Paulding. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the care I received. I went in this past Saturday night with an acute asthma attack. We’re they busy? Of course they were - it was 4th of July weekend. Upon arriving in the ER my vitals and history were taken and I waited my turn to go back. Yes, it took about 45 minutes to get into a bay - but every single bay was full. Despite that, I had an x-ray and CT scan within 2 to 3 hours. During that time I was given breathing treatments and a nurse was continually checking on me. I knew the hospital was full - and I understand the delays that happen. I saw the doctor sometime during the night and I was promptly on oxygen support though all of it. I was cleared for admittance Sunday morning, but I was in an ER bay until a room opened up for me. I did take it upon myself to download the app for the wellstar system and use it to track my care. The data revealed each and every encounter at the hospital, including everything else from other physicians who participate in EPIC. I was able to see immediate test results and I knew who my care team was and , once in a room, each medication I was to be given and when. I was just released today from Acute Care having been in for 5 days. During that time I did not have one bad encounter with anyone. From the custodians to the doctors- I received superlative care. I know that not everyone has a good experience - but from what I read in the bad reviews it seems to come down to a lack of understanding of how a hospital works. It may look and feel quiet and it makes you frustrated that you haven’t seen someone or you feel they are late or deficient in their care for you or a loved one. But the quiet is on purpose - the calm, quiet, and orderly manner from which medical staff triages patients is meant to keep your nerves in check. Real hospitals are not TV shows of ERs with medical personnel calling codes and yelling STAT. These professionals deserve to be treated with kindness and appreciation for what they are doing for you. Thank them, tell them you appreciate their hard work. Be kind, even if you’re hurting.
Absolutely the best care in the world!!! Every single person, from the volunteers to the surgeons, have been amazing. We have been to a million facilities with my dad and we have some very bad experiences. Every time we have come to Paulding Wellstar it has been amazing!!!!
If I could give negative stars, I would I sat in the waiting room for over eight hours in which it was completely full. What I’m complaining about is the fact that there was a lady in there having seizures and no one came to their aid. I work in the medical field, so whenever I say, I understand when emergencies happen and they go in first I understand, but they have to weigh and be treated like dirt that’s not OK.
If you need to be seen DO NOT GO HERE!!! This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been in. I have been in here and been released still hanging over the bed throwing up. I have had to sit in the waiting area with it packed and people puking they don’t treat anybody. Went there for broken ribs they said I didn’t have but other test showed I did. Being a patient with no immune system you would hope they could keep people separated. They lack In medical knowledge apparently.
