the art and science of Phlebotomy.

PHLEBOTOMY 101 is a 12 hour training class being held at:
The class fee is $250.00 which includes the manual and supplies needed for the class.
The dates are always on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The locations very and the dates very I will post a calendar a month at a time of when and where these classes will be held.
The course of study includes:
-Basic laboratory terminology
-Laboratory and Phlebotomy Equipment
-Laboratory Departments
-Tube additives/Test requirements
-Phlebotomy Techniques
Thursday and Friday night classes consist of lecture and discussion, visual aids and hand-outs, on Saturday; class begins with an exam covering the previous information that has been discussed followed by our practicum for the next 4-5 hours. During this time, students are trained and practice venipuncture on “dummy” veins and then on each other while being closely supervised.
At the successful completion of the class, students will receive a certificate of training in phlebotomy and are encouraged to complete the National Certification Exam. When selecting a Phlebotomy class instructor there are a few questions you should ask your instructor to make sure you are getting into a reputable class.
• Is the instructor Nationally Certified?
• How many years of experience as a Phlebotomist do they have?
• What type of work setting did they achieve their experience in?
• Are they able and willing to Nationally Certify you as a Phlebotomist?

Wendy Knox C.P.T., A.S.P.T. Started her Phlebotomy career in 1987. She became Nationally Certified in 2000. Wendy began teaching Phlebotomy in 2006 at the request of many of her patients and co-workers. She is extremely knowledgeable and skilled and presents the material in a way that is easily comprehended by all types of students.
