They could at least have common courtesy to pay attention or even acknowledge when customer is trying to get their attention instead of ignoring them!! How hard is it to actually perform customer service in a professional manner or is that not a thing anymore it's just about getting the paycheck. I have time and time again found people could care less about customers only to care more about getting their paycheck and going home!!
I get you are short staffed, but you don't have to be totally miserable. I try to be nice and "please and thank you everything". I've worked in customer service before and I know how bad it can get. Having a bag shoved out the window and an expecting look for me to hurry up and leave makes me not come back. I also didn't get the burger I ordered. Something is deeply broken at this location. Dave's ghost would not be pleased.
Very short-staffed, have to wait in long drive-thru line. And, the line is always long, they are always busy! They have to be something right to consistently attract so many customers, there are other similar offerings very close by that they could choose, but they are willing to wait in line instead. I think that's a good sign?
The one fast food place in town that didn't mess up my order. Very frustrating when you have to pull over and check your order is correct before you leave the parking lot. Now its just a habit. Wendy's employees have good listening skills!! Thank you!
There is always a wait here, but the food is worth it. Due to Covid-19, the staff is short-handed, as are many places... It is what it is! They work hard and get your delicious, hot food, and your correct order. Just know you will wait. The best time to go for dinner, I have found, is around 4 or 4:30!
Good food slow. I just got a salad. Took 15 minutes to get it. Only one person in front of me. I went inside. You could tell the guy at the counter just started. He was nice and he was trying hard. They had a note, short staff....bla bla blah. I guess this is our future.
I understand that this location is subject to serious rushes with beach traffic. That being said yesterday was the 4th time in a month where I sat in the drive thru line for over 15 minutes before getting frustrated that the line wasn't moving and pulling out. There are far too many restaurants in this town to deal with this. I've given this place multiple chances the best fast food in my opinion but not for a 15+ minute wait without even ordering. Never again. You've lost my business.
The long wait isn't even an issue to me, I know most restaurants are short staffed with long lines. To use a reward offer from the Wendy's app, I simply load the offer for them to scan my code at the register and it should come off automatically, that is how it has always worked as far as I know. I'm not sure why their online system wasn't working properly, but they tried telling me it won't load because I have to pay full price then I can get the reward next time, when I've been using the app for well over a year and have never once been told anything like that. No where in the app did I find anything about the reward to support their claim, just that I should redeem the reward just as I had done with any others in the past. They could clearly see the reward loaded into my phone when I gave it to them, and refused to honor it. We had already waited in a long line and there was a long line behind us that we didn't want to keep holding up, so I just gave them back the food and left. In the past I have used Wendy's app reward offers multiple times at this specific location and never had an issue. until now.
I’m not normally the type to leave reviews but this place is a literal disaster. Absolutely fails the vibe check. They over charged me and didn’t even give me my complete order. The girl in the drive thru had an attitude and wasn’t wearing a mask properly. I’ve been telling everyone that if I die from COVID, it was the Westerly Wendy’s that killed me! Do yourself a favor and just keep driving somewhere else, this place sucks!
I love all Wendy's, but in particular the Wendy's in Westerly Rhode Island. The people are always pleasant and helpful even during these difficult times. And they have sometimes been understaffed but do a great job in spite of that.
