I asked for the 3 choice seafood platter. I was told i had a choce of seafood options from crab cakes to stuffed shrimp to whiting filet. The options were not on the menu so I had to infer . The side are lined up to view. A little pricy buy the portion sizes are good. I did not notice a grilled option

I am writing this because it happened to my family. I did not know until today. a few months ago, my family went to this place for their famous crab cake. we have been there many many times. I enjoyed in the past. they found a hair inside of crab cake. They mentioned, they did NOTHING. that reserves F at any time. Sorry no go until something happen to this place. again it was/is the best crab cake in the town. Unfortunately we will never go back again. if you like crab cake, I forget the name but try one in National Harbor. You will not be disappointed.

One star is too generous, this place has fallen all the way off. Used to be my go to place with no fail. Don't waste your money or time. Not many soul food place to go to in the DMV. I was really a fan and would refer people all time. I apologized family and friends. Not worth the disrespect to our culture . Apparently there were others not feeling WESLEY'S. There was about five unhappy customers while we waited for our food. The complaint s we're rolling in My recommendation hire people who want and need to work. My visit this past Sunday confirm never again for Wesley it's a rap

I absolutely love this place! You can't go wrong with any order. I have tried everything on their menu lol. It tastes like a home cooked meal everytime. The staff have always been friendly even when customers are rude to them. They do run out of items frequently because this place gets heavy lunch and dinner rushes but if you're patient they will have more cooked fresh to order. Even my picky 6 year old found something he loves...and this is the only place he will eat spaghetti with sauce! Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

The food is delicious. The customer service is less to be desired. If you order food you should be notified if they run out. Customer service overall sucks except one young lady. Just make sure the food you want is prepared. If not, you will wait a long damn time

The portion sides were great! I had the whiting fish meal w/green beans and potato salad. Oh, and cornbread! The fish was just right! I didn’t like the green beans at all, however the potato salad was just ok. The cornbread was good! I would visit again just for the fish and cornbread. The customer service was good for the amount of staffing I seen there.

Visited this place a few times. There is a young lady that is very friendly and provides good service. However, the some of the other staff that I've encounterd are not. Its almost as if they're mad about being there. There's a guy, in particular that does some of the cooking that handles the food and money transactions without changing his gloves. Disgusting! I witnessed him drop a piece of aluminum foil on the floor, only to pick it up, not crumble it up to throw it away, but to carefully bring it to the back of the kitchen only to reuse it im sure. That was all i needed to see to make me come to the decision of never to patronize this establishment.

Pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Food was delicious! Portions just right for price. I got the meatloaf platter and pork ribs platter and enjoyed with my 3 children for lunch.

The food is very good but the wait time is horrible and some days they don't have half of the sides dishes on the menu so you're stuck with 1 or 2 choices

I was getting an order for someone else and 30 min wait in line. Only two people were in front of me and had to wait another 15 min for the food to be done. Some of the food is already made and I understand some food has to be cooked but 45 min to an hour is unacceptable.
