Description

The West Bloomfield Police Department was created in 1952 with the appointment of one Officer. By late 2017 we are expected to be staffed at 80 full time Police Officers. Our Officers are highly trained, highly educated, and dedicated to customer service. The police department strives to partner with all of the community shareholders to maintain quality of life by helping to solve problems within the community. Our civilian staff also plays a vital role in providing top quality service to those both living in and visiting West Bloomfield.

Shout out to the officer who Pulled me over and had a genuine interaction with me, I didn’t got his name but he deserves to be recognized, after long shift at work around 4am 04/02/2023 got pulled over At 14 mile and haggerty rd I did presented my legal documents upon officers request, and it didn’t even took 5 minutes for both of us to be on our ways. he mentioned the reason for the stop, and handling the situation professionally. These officers are putting their lives on the line to keep the community safe deserves the appreciation for their On point Execution of duty.
Five stars across the board. I'm so grateful for West Bloomfield police department assisting me after my accident. They were extremely kind and professional. My gratitude goes out to all law enforcement officers, for keeping us safe and putting their lives at risk many times. Lastly, I want to thank Scott for his help. Great law enforcement officer.
West Bloomfield Police is the best police department ever! I’ve lived in West Bloomfield my whole life and they have always been the nicest and most caring police officers I’ve came across! When I got in my first accident at 16, to going into the police station. They are also super good about doing rounds through the local neighborhoods! Thank you WB!
Modern day slave patrol, how you people hunt people is really sad instead of fighting REAL crime you do little snake things like. Pull up behind some one parked in a parking lot looking for directions because I was lost. And instead of offering help by saying if you had to say anything at all "hey you seem lost need help getting back to a familiar area?" Nope instead you instigate a "traffic stop" and begin your slave master oppression how you make a traffic stop on a parked car in a parking lot is beyond me. But I expect nothing less from you low class demons, you have nothing going for you personally so you harass and ruin lives to feel good then run home and play hero. LOL did you tell your families how you ripped moms and dads from their children and children from their parents?, or how you tried to find any reason you could to arrest someone instead of helping them?, how about how you how you laugh in the face of the mentally ill? I saw this first hand, or how you see black and brown people as a paycheck/criminals instead of human beings? I bet y'all leave all that out and go home and talk about the maybe 1 or 2 good things you did your entire shift. You people don't solve crime your to busy hunting the innocent, maybe ACTULLY try and be a hero instead of your historical practice of slave patrol. You people wonder why people distrust y'all, its because we all know your liars, thieves, snakes, murderers, kidnappers, and low life weirdos who seek control over others because you never had control over your life as a child. Do better its 2023 we need to get America back to building and moving forward not playing slave and slave master forever its getting old this nation is better than this its on you people to make the first changes. You can delete this if you want I'll just repost it, people need to know the truth about you people and little good you actually do.
I called the WBPD about a disturbing family situation. 2 officers were dispatched to my house. As I gave my statement, and talked with the officers, I did notice that one of the police officers, Officer Means, spoke to me with a clear English accent. I was taken aback. I have never heard a police officer speak to me in an English accent before. In spite of this, we had a successful conversation, and I am hearing good reports from the station about the progress of the investigation. I am thankful to WBPD for your help, and I hope we can resolve this soon.
A very grateful thank you to the officer who was instrumental in helping 2 lost dogs be reunited with their owner this afternoon/evening. She remained in contact with the owner, who reported their loss and with me, who found them. Officer, your guidance was so helpful to me! Thank you!
I live and work in west Bloomfield, and I feel very safe to have my family and business here. I found the WBPD very professional and responsive in every contact I had with them. I also was impressed with their initiative and proactive attitude when things seem in question. I appreciate their work skills and ethic, their patriotism and service, as well as their sacrifice.
We had a very terrible experienece with a neighbor we never actually met where my husband asked her politely if she could keep her dog off our property because we had stepped in his poop. She made up a lie and called the cops on my husband and told officer booth my husband tried to assault her! After talking to her for 3-4 minutes he decided he had enough to write a 3 page report on my husband and call him mentally unstable we had audio and security proof nothing happened but the department didn’t care they took her lies because she was in her 60s and had pretend tears.This was all following the husband running at me and my kids with a metal pole for NO legitimate reason a month before other than he didn’t like my landscaping on my yard.I had secretly gone in and filed a report on him for in case anything else happened, for documentation. The officer didn’t care about what happened before and treated us poorly. We had only lived there for a couple years and after that incident we chose to spend money we didn’t have to fix up and sell to leave. If the police weren’t willing to help us against the neighbors who were not of sound mind which other neighbors came to our defense with stories over time of those two the neighbors stalked us, and made us fear leaving our homeafter that. It has taken a couple years to feel safe enough to write this but it needed to be said. We Have trouble trusting law enforcement now and we are respectful and fearful of others and the law. We left but the fear hasn’t. I suggest taking all parties in a situation in account before making assumptions on people and accusing them of things they did not do. When the officer talks down to people who didn’t do anything wrong and were being decent despite what our neighbors were doing to us, respect was lost. Before a 3.5 page report was made against us that was filled with lies and accusations the officer could have bothered speaking to my husband instead of intimidating him and not allowing him to speak or else he would have known that we hadn’t done anything wrong and we’re trying to be respectful and not get the police involved in something that could have been solved by a polite request had that neighbor not been unstable. Officer told us my previous report on the husband didn’t matter and if they get called on us again they would arrest us. For the next year we spent every day inside and wouldn’t leave, until we could finally sell the home under the radar and get out of there.
Thank you to the officers and medics who assisted me with my medical emergency while driving Tuesday evening. They were very helpful and professional. It's nice to know that there are such wonderful individuals out there to help. You guys were awesome!!!
These men and women within the West Bloomfield Police Department do an outstanding job in our township. They're the reason that this city made 7th safest city in the country. Yes! The Country! West Bloomfield Police is always about the community, never hesitate to call them, because they want to be there for your assistance. Chief Patton once said, he rather his officers within the WBPD to show up to 90% of the false calls, so that when that 10% occurs, they're right there for your assistance. When a crime, or anything occurs in WB, they're fast with their response. You can call them for something as small as "I hear sounds in my backyard." The WBPD is unlike many departments, because they're dedicated to the community. Most agencies don't have that bond, and trust within their community, but West Bloomfield is different, the officers is apart of our community. If you encounter any problems in West Bloomfield, never hesitate to contact them, they keep it by the book.
