How are the workers not fired yet??? The people who work here will steal your package and Put Mail in the wrong box. Recently I was home at exactly the time they “attempted” to deliver a package. The funny thing is I was actually in my front yard gardening and did not see any “attempt” to deliver a package. Seems like the employee did not want to do their job. Please just go to the Union lake post office instead if you need to deliver something. They will go out their way to help you. The people at the West Bloomfield post office are so rude and purposely lose your package. It’s extremely frustrating.
Said tried to deliver a certified mail but no one was home. Both my spouse & I were home and the mail person did not even come to the door. Just stick the notification in the mailbox. This is not the first time. Do your job.
Package was held up at this post office for 4 days for no reason. It didnt move at all in the process. By the time my package live plant arrived, it was virtually dead, with one leaf left and all the others brown and crispy.
Mailing a simple package and wanted to take a pic of it for proof and my client. Lady DENIED me that and said "no pictures are allowed in here." I told her that NOTHING is posted about that and that what she said is not true. So, somehow this photo appeared. Rude customer service!
The absolute worst service I have ever received from USPS. I am new to the area and got here around 7/29. Filled out a change of address and had it confirmed by 8/06. The entire time that I have been here I haven’t received a single piece of my mail. Filled out multiple complaints and got a generic response back. They had absolutely zero sense of urgency. Missing 20+ pieces of mail some of which were government forms that were time sensitive. Finally got a few things in the mail but 50% of it wasn’t even mine and the mail I did get was past due and dirty and wet like someone had stepped on it.They also stuck little stickers on it as if there was an issue forwarding the mail from my last address, however, the mail all has my CURRENT address which means there was no forwarding necessary. Someone really needs to be fired.
Horrible in many ways. We forwarded our mail, but some didn’t arrive. Even though they weren’t supposed to, they occasionally delivered our mail to our home even though we weren’t there. Finally, they have returned some first class mail from others saying we had left no forwarding address. All irresponsible
June 2023: Got an email notification that my "package was delivered". Immediately go to get it - NOT THERE. Later my neighbor called me to let me know that he got my package. Maybe I need to put larger house address numbers on my home - they are only 6 inches tall black numbers on a white background. Searched the USPS website but don't find "ability to read and recognize numbers" as a required skill for carriers. May 2023: My wife was waiting for an expensive package to arrive, and her email received a message that "you package has been delivered." Went to the mailbox and there was no package. She drove over to another house in our subdivision with the same four house address numbers, but on a different street. We get their mail on a weekly basis. There was her package, correctly addressed, wrongly delivered. SOSAD. Feb 2023: I am totally stupid - I told myself that I would never go back to this office, but I really wanted to get a package started on its journey. The Union Lake office was closed already because it was Saturday, and USPS web site said WB was open until 3:00. Arrived at 2:10, 8 people in line. Everyone could hear the party in back, and this really must have made the one person forced to work upset the other five stations weren't staffed. Took 25 minutes to work through the line. I had to wait because there was no way I would drop off a package without getting a receipt. When I left there were 12 people in line. Oct 2022: I am thankful for the West Bloomfield USPS Main Office. They have helped me with my exercise program. I have added walking to other resident's homes to re-deliver improperly delivered mail. This week I have had the chance to walk to eight different houses in my subdivision the peak was 4 pieces of mail mis-delivered in one day!. I may not be as happy about this during the snowy winter. I will then change to writing "Please deliver to correct address" in red ink on the envelope and dropping it off at a drop box. Will continue to use the Union Lake and Keego Offices preferentially as they have pleasant counter help. Also, the USPS gets paid to distribute advertising mailers to each residence. My carrier has found an elegant solution to this "extra work" - stuff 25-30 of the same advertising mailers in my box. Easy-peasy - all the advertising mailers are delivered. I feel good about it because I can at least put them in the recycling bin! Two years ago: Should be 0/5. I don't know why I ever go to this branch. I handed a package to my local carrier when he was delivering, and 5 DAYS LATER it still hadn't been scanned in. I tried calling the post office and nobody ever answered. I went and stood in line and inquired at the desk. What an attitude! She took my tracking info and ambled to the back and returned 5 minutes later stating "he isn't here today, try back tomorrow". I told her that was unacceptable and asked for her supervisor. Another 10 minute amble to the back. Supervisor stated she "would investigate and call me back." Never called. Two days later the tracking number shows up as being scanned and being shipped. Additionally, I have to re-deliver mail that gets delivered to my house that isn't mine. I will never go to the West Bloomfield main post office again. The Union Lake branch is a little bit further away, but all the staff there at least act pleasant. I don't know what is so "stressful" about working the counter at a Post Office, but pretty much all of the counter staff at West Bloomfield Main Post Office seemed to be "burned out."
I always received competent and reasonably fast service. Everyone is polite. I go to the office once a month. 613/2023 update Downgraded due to lack of sufficient staffing . Personnel very helpful and competent but not enough of them
Awful Poat Office. Terrible customer service, rude and lazy government workers. Lived all over US and this has to be the worst post office I’ve ever used.
No one in line. Picking up mail. Slower than molasses. Side talking prohibits efficiency.
