Public Health Departments: Prevent, Promote, Protect
The West Central Health District is made up of 16 county health departments in the following counties in West Central Georgia (District 7): Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Harris, Macon, Marion, Muscogee (Columbus), Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, and Webster.
The lead county for the health district is the Columbus Department of Public Health which is located in Muscogee County.
Recognizing the ever changing complexity of the health care community, the West Central Health District comprised of 16 county health departments, exist as a resource to ensure an environment where all people can obtain healthcare services and attain optimum health and well-being by valuing themselves, by valuing others, and by caring.
