5 deliveries so far for a 3-component desk. West Elm can’t get out of their own way. Staff at store is delightful, yet apologetic and embarrassed about their outsourced logistics, delivery & assembly vendor. One component’s supply chain delay snowballed into costly errors for West Elm. Take it or leave it: [William’s-Sonoma+Pottery Barn+WestElm+Mark&Graham+Rejuvenation] …recruit some Amazon logistics managers and developers to better integrate multi-component tracking, backorder management, and product education/documentation among your manufacturing, logistics & customer service platforms. Left hand? Meet Right hand. Right hand? Meet Left.

I will never recommend or do business with West Elm again. I’ve been trying to return a defective couch for a year. Cushions were so thin all you felt was the frame/wood under your butt. West elm finally picked up my couch 2 weeks ago and I still have not seen my $1800 refunded to my credit card!!! I’ve literally called this company 25+ times spending at least an hour on the phone each time. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere - absolute worst customer service!!!!

Really small store, not much to look at - wish they would open a bigger one. Secondly, the associates are just rude. We had one very nice conversation with a store manager and because of that ordered items through the store rather than online but every time we called them or asked for help they would answer the phone exasperated that they actually had to help a customer at all. The call center - which is also not great- was actually an improvement from the store experience. The entire experience just puts me off West Elm. As annoying as it is not to have one around us they should just close this and start anew.

We absolutely loved the store and purchased a beautiful bedding set $600. When we got home we realized that the shams were different sizes a store associate helped us with all the selections.When I went back to return it, the associate was extremely rude and told me I would have to order another one and pay for shipping. When she realized they actually did have the replacement in stock, she charged my account without the original discount. She was extremely annoyed when I pointed it out. She never told me that she credited the first transaction to my card and again was incredibly rude when I asked her about it. After the transaction, I inquired about a table that I wanted to buy $200 and she told me to go order it online. I asked her if she could.... she interrupted me and said no, I can not sell you the floor model. I was stunned. I was simply trying to ask for the model number so I knew which table to order online. This associate was curt and unapologetic for her rude behavior. I understand people have bad days but as a customer, being treated as an annoyance is unacceptable. I found the perfect side table at Pottery Barn, where they seemed more than happy to help me. I will not be shopping at West Elm again.

The worst experience with a furniture order ever! We had order a number of items in store, we specifically asked for items to be delivered by a certain date or removed from the order. A couple of items were delayed until July but folks in store said we can ask for a split delivery because our order is over a certain amount, that was not true. We called customer service to cancel and they said we have to wait until July to get a refund, so West Elm is keeping our money interest free for a number of months because a store associate did not know what they were talking about. Horrible experience both in store and over the customer support line where it took about 5-6 calls to finally understand nobody knows what they are talking about.

Allison at the Westport location is a pleasure to work with. Very patient, very knowledgeable and really professional. The customer service after the sale is most impressive. Over my many visits to the store I've received great service from other employees at the store as well. Extremely happy with their furniture. Very beautiful and high quality. Shop at this store if you're looking for great service and great quality furniture at a reasonable price.

Unbelievably horrible customer service. We came to return a pillowcase that became damaged after a single gentle wash that was permitted by the care instruction. So clearly the product was of a very low quality to start with. We were yelled at and blamed by the store manager for using bleach, when we clearly did not the item was not even white. I could not have thought that a relatively pricy store like West Elm would be so rude and disrespectful towards its customers!!! Never coming back again!!!

It was simply a pleasure shopping here! The store employees especially Anthony were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They showed me a bunch of different fabric samples for the Harmony couches that they had on hand. They went above and beyond!! Will be coming back for more!! Love West Elm Westport!!!! I posted this on Yelp too!
