West Hills College Coalinga was founded in 1932 as Coalinga College. In 2002, its sister college opened in Lemoore. Both colleges are governed by the West Hills Community College District, which serves 6,000 students each semester, including hundreds of online classes. The district operates North District Center, Firebaugh. The three facilities bring access to higher education to parts of Fresno County and all of Kings County. We are part of the California Community College System, the largest system of higher education in the U.S. We offer a unique year-around registration system that lets you sign up for classes for Spring, Summer and Fall, all at one time. Our programs include Associate Degree for Transfer (ATD), which guarantees students who sign up and develop an education plan to transfer in two years to CSU and complete their bachelor's degree in four years. Tremendous financial help is available to our students, through state programs and awards and scholarships. Our colleges work to help you succeed in getting into college and meeting your goals.
West Hills College Coalinga offers associates degrees, transfer degrees, career and technical certificate programs and is committed to inspiring all learners by providing dynamic and high quality academic programs and services, including those offered through distance education. The college fosters its students' ability to think, communicate, effectively reason and develop compassion through learning, connection, and service.
