West Michigan Christian Schools (WMCS) is a collaborative system of five schools throughout the Lakeshore region of Western Michigan, who work together under a “Better Together” philosophy, offering a top quality PK-12 Christian Education experience and a full scope of academic and extra-curricular programs. Benefiting from close cooperation and a seamless curriculum, our schools work together to formulate strategy and execute the necessary plans to achieve, elevate, and sustain Christian Education in West Michigan.
At Western Michigan Christian Schools (WMCS), everything we do is from the perspective of a Christ-centered worldview. We not only ask the question, “What would Jesus do?” we show our students “What Jesus Says” as it relates to the classroom, the athletic field and the community we serve. WMCS extends "Beyond Academics" and educates the whole child, putting Christ at the center of all we do. Academically, we perform with excellence, with top local and national standardized test scores.
We strive to:
• create a seamless, exemplary Christian educational experience for families in Western Michigan from preschool through high school.
• provide excellent Christian education rooted in the gospel to all who desire it.
• provide a model of collaboration that will serve as a roadmap for other Christian educational communities.
Our Member Schools include:
Fremont Christian School, Grand Haven Christian, Muskegon Christian, New Era Christian and Western Michigan Christian High School & Middle School.
Other schools we partner with include: Grant Christian School, St. Johns Lutheran School, and West Shore Lutheran School.

We answer the big questions differently.
Preparing students for life is an enormous task. It requires education, training, discipline, trial & error, and helping them find the answers to the big questions.
When a student asks the question “Why am I here?” We answer in the context of faith that we are all here to serve God, to serve others, and do our best. We ask our students to do their very best – but not for their sake, not even for your sake. We ask them to do their best for His sake. So when they are taking a test, singing a song, or serving a meal, they are honoring Christ, who said, “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
When a student asks the question “Who am I?” We answer in the context of faith that we are all God’s children. That means we are all created uniquely in His image. Everything we do is from the perspective of a Christ-centered worldview. That happens in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the community. We ask our students to define who they are as children of God.
When a student asks the question “Where am I going?” We answer in the context of faith that we are all followers of Christ. Where He leads we will follow.
West Michigan Christian Schools strive to help prepare your child for what is next, whether that be an elementary school, middle school, high school or beyond. Students are prepared academically, emotionally and spiritually for what God has in store for them.
