The West Rock Ridge Park Association is a volunteer organization started in 1974 to maintain and promote the well being of West Rock Ridge State Park.
The goals of the West Rock Ridge Park Association include cooperating with the Department of Environmental Protection in the preservation and enhancement of the park, promoting acquisition by the State of additional lands for the park, maintain existing trails and create new ones where appropriate, sponsor programs concerning the natural history of the area, coordinate and encourage recreational and social events to emphasize the unique features of the park, publish and make information and maps about the area available to increase enjoyment of the park, and distribute periodic newsletter to members about the park.
The main mission of the West Rock Ridge Park Association is to act as a watchdog to prevent inappropriate activities at the park.
