Garlough Elementary has changed so much, they are discriminatory, they are aware of the ADHD, ODD issues of my grandson. He has been there for 3+ years, he has been stereotyped, even though new medication is being tried periodically. This new medication has made him more verbal, in a good way, do they see that, NO. He likes to now go outside and play do they see that NO. His appetite is back do they see that NO. Do they see the old issuesYES......Do they adapt, NO. They do not want him there, I hope the new school is more understanding to special needs children, because this one does not change their opinions
The isd 197 schools have amazing education, programs, and extra circular activities. The schools offer help to special needs kids, kids coming from other countries who don't know any English, advanced math classes, high school credit classesmiddle school, college courseshigh school, AVID advanced via individual determination and in elemartary they pull aside students who need help in reading and math. They 4 core values of isd 197 are respect, responsibly, readiness and relationships all isd 197 schools show these values. The schools in this district are absolutely amazing.
Not a good place to go to school. The food is microwaved in the kitchen. I bet they have a giant microwave for the actual garbage food.
