This is the ONLY place that showed a sense of urgency when I called crying and upset because my dog was extremely sick. I called roadrunner Animal Hospital where I have been going and they sounded so uninterested in trying to help me and scripted. Although Westbrook was booked up for the day, they made my fur baby's condition a priority and got us in same day! Once I arrived, the staff and the doctor was very caring and showed genuine empathy towards me and my baby. They were knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. After fluids and some medicine, I am happy to report that my baby is doing much better. There is a HUGE difference In the care I received from this place vs. the one I’ve previously been going to. Westbrook has exceeded my expectations by far. You can settle for mediocre or if you’re like me and you want top-notch quality care for your fur baby, don’t hesitate or second guess yourself. Being your loved ones here!
My chihuahua was treated very professionally and caringly by Dr Hummel and his techs during her spay procedure. Everything went as expected in a timely and efficient manner. The facility was clean and well equipped. Follow up care was clearly outlined and explained.
I took my bull terrier Sammy to get neutered and they were so amazing and caring! They answered all my questions and made me feel so comfortable with leaving Sammy in their hands! I wish I found them sooner but definitely will be my main Vet form now on!
I came in as a walk in with a kitten. With the way he was acting, I was concerned he had something stuck in his mouth. You took me in very quickly. It turned out everything was fine. But I appreciated being seen and assured everything was okay. THANK YOU! Stephanie & Little Bodie
I think this place is top-notch. My first experience with them was for my cat, who was dying and needed immediate help. I had no idea at the time that was what was going on. I had just gotten the cat the day before and didn’t know it was ill. Westbrook was very sympathetic to my situation and took their time helping me get thru this.They worked with me financially because I wasn’t expecting to be doing this. I just can’t say enough about how compassionate and patient they were, but most of all, how they showed love to this beautiful cat who was on his was out when we thought it would be just a visit to see what’s up with him. Now I have a dog and started taking him here. They treat him so well too. Very good about explaining what is going on and what you can do at home to continue caring for your fur babies. If you haven’t got a good veterinarian or need second opinion or even a place that will let you make payments, go to Westbrook. You will be happy that you did. From the staff greeting you when you come in and to the point where you leave you will definitely feel like they will love your animal just like you do. 5 out of 5 stars for me!
Staff is very friendly and treat our pets with kindness and compassion. Plan of care is discussed thoroughly with pet parents so instruction plans for home is understood to better enhance your pet's recovery. Dr. Johnson is so kind, knowledgeable, and listens to your concerns about your pets! I highly recommend this practice!!!
Every year, I take my cat in for his checkup and vaccines and all of the staff are friendly and approachable. I have never had to wait more than a minute of so to get brought back for my appointment time!! Excellent service all the way around!!!
I have used Westbrook Animal Hospital for some time with other pets. I now have a dog who has been a patient for 1 year and is sick and because I cannot pay for her service at the time due to my cancer treatments. I cannot get her in this facility until Wednesday which is my payday. My poor baby is in pain. It is very sad when a pet hospital such as this one who I have used for years and recommended to my family who not make an exception and agree to see my baby girl and await payment on Wednesday. Thank God that my cancer doctors do not deny y treatment because I cannot pay on the day of my appointment. My baby has been here for me and I cannot return the favor while she is sick : I am very disappointed in the current service that has been rendered to me especially when I called and Diana said "we had a cancelation but you said you cannot pay until Wednesday - see you Wednesday".
I'm giving five stars, but there are pros and cons. I'll start with the pros. Doctor Ullman & Doctor Hummell are cat whisperers. Everyone knows cats are especially skiddish at the vet, but they put even the most scared cats at ease. I LOVE them. I can only post this review as a cat owner perspective. The front desk people are great, except not always consicous that there are multiple rooms, and one was vacant today that I had to request after the dog barking uncontrolably dog was Beau next door. I had to ask to go to the isolated room on the otherside, which even the doctor was surprised that the front desk gal didn't suggest that room before my request. My cat's anxiety didn't need to be high, but because she placed us in room number one thoughtlessly with Beau barking nonstop in room number 2.... anyway, that could/should have been avoided. This vet does charge more, but they truly have the most talented Doctors, so to me it's worth it. I had a 19 year old cat that Westbrook laid to rest in such a thoughtful way. I will be loyal to Westbrook, but I will ask for either Ullman or Hummell because of how sensetive they are to cats, and I will insist upfront to be placed in that isolated room if possible.
We like this vet. We've been coming for 8 years since we got our puppy. Great vets and friendly staff. They have a good vaccines for life program.
