My Primary ordered a colonoscopy yesterday and they called this morning to schedule. I was impressed with the quick follow-up until they let me know the first available appointment is in November, 6 months from now. No thanks.
I had a CT Colonoscopy on a Thursday and was told the doctor would contact me with the scan results. No one called by Monday so I called Michelle O’Brien’s office and left a message for the doctor to call me back No calls I called Thursday again and left a message again. Someone from Dr O’Brien’s office called me and said the results have been on the patient portal since Monday and no one is has to call me with results. Is this true? And I am very disappointed in how Dr O’Brien handled this
Beware of this practice on 111 Osborne. I was billed incorrectly and they refuse to fix the issue. Incompetent staff. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Everything was great from receptionist to nurse Then especially Dr. Whelan. And checking out was easy and simple
My first appointment they gave me a time and location. I wrote it down. They called to confirm said location. Went to that location and it was wrong, tried telling me it was my fault and I messed up, had to wait even longer to get any appt. and forget getting through to make an appt. Again this time around trying to make an appt, I called first thing in the morning and it said 6 callers ahead. I’ve now been on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes. Completely unacceptable.
This office is scary!! I called for a follow -up appointment after a hospital admission and the girl on the phone informed me that an appt was already scheduled for MAY 26th and didn't understand why I was calling for make a new one. I almost thought she was playing with me but she was serious. I then had to ask her if she realized that May ended a week ago . wow moving on!! This place has no idea what's happening . Then told me end of July !! Thanks for nothing .
If all you need is a screening colonoscopy, this practice is fine. I needed a second opinion regarding IBD. So tests, labs and diagnostic colonoscopy were set up. After the colonoscopy, the Dr did not take any time to go over his observations and let me ask questions. When he had the results and diagnosis, there was no call to me. Just an email. Again, no discussion or Q&A and I had a lot of questions. In the 5 colonoscopies I have had or accompanied someone with other Drs, this has never happened. By the looks of it, many others have had the same experience. They raked in thousands of $ from the Insurance company and me. Shameful.
The DMV of gastroenterology practices and factory medicine at its worse. The doctors are fine every doc is trained but good luck getting an appointment with an actual doctor. Administratively there is something seriously wrong here. After a "finding" no one called with the results and a letter came months later. The doctor did not follow up at all. The person scheduling the appointment could not be bothered and was impatient when the first slot was not available. Billing takes the cake. The woman was so rude, insisted there was no error there was as was proven later and that was after waiting on hold for 30 minutes. Fortunately there are many other practices in Westchester and Fairfield County. As I need procedures every few years they are losing a lucrative patient.
I was told before making an appt that they offered pillcam in lieu of an endoscopy & colonoscopy. At my appt, the P.A., did a bait & a switch & tried to manipulate me into an endoscopy & colonoscopy and medications proven to have bad results. After saying "No" several times, she claimed the insurance wouldn't pay for it! They did last time. Last time, the pillcam endoscopy was conducted by a head gastroenterologist at Westchester Medical! This is the 2nd bad experience I've had at this practice. I'm done.
Never again. I went there for my GERD and everyone was very nice except for the doctor he gave me attitude the whole time I was there and didn’t even prescribe my medicine.
