Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League - WPAL
Our scope of services is our commitment and training of youth to stay free of drugs and violence.
Targeting hundreds of disadvantaged urban youth in positive interaction with Police, our goal is to make sure that our children of Pittsburgh stay free of drugs and violence. We dream of sending young people to the Olympic Games as we have done in the past. We encourage our youth to interact with the law enforcement, building strong bonds with our police, and strengthening confidence to achieve great expectations.
• Seven boxing/weightlifting gyms have been opened and are operating under the WPAL
• We instill crime prevention, literacy, health and well-being, creating future jobs and teach them philosophies of life to make them good citizens of their community
• We strive to provide our children with a safe environment to come to
To give opportunity to all of the young people that dare to dream, and with the proper guidance, help them to achieve realistic goals and become productive members of our great city.
