I’ve been a patient with Dr Schmidt on and off for 16 years. She was excellent when I first started seeing her with my care, coordination of care with other doctors, and thoroughness. As I had more conditions and my conditions progressed for the worse she became less helpful. She is really good with my children, if that helps. The front office staff are aggressive, disrespectful and basically shouldn’t be working in a doctors office. They are the farthest thing from having any empathy towards patients. I would give them zero stars if I could. I’ve had them not give my practitioner critical information including MRI’s. Not exactly the type of response you want when you are dealing with serious health concerns and not the type of treatment you want when you are paying for the treatment. The MA’s and nurses are ok. They are usually understanding and compassionate when speaking and examining you. Here is the most outrageous part and the reason I lowered the review to one star; the walls are paper thin in the exam rooms and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway and rooms around your room. I’ve been sitting in a room having to listen to a young woman talk about her female related health issues. I’ve had to endure one of the physicians discussing her condo issues. It’s crazy and probably a huge HIPPA issue. The staff know about this because they have installed Sonos white noise machines but they are never on. Just save yourself the hassle, embarrassment, etc and find a different provider. Perhaps another Western Wayne Physicians location.

I've been a patient of Dr. Schmidt's for 17 years and have always found her to be helpful, friendly, and compassionate. Her NP, Grant, has seen me the past few times I've gone in d/t scheduling issues and he is also very friendly and competent.

I’m not somebody who writes reviews in fact this is the first online review I’ve ever written so I hope this is read and taken seriously. I am a 20 year old girl and this office has completely traumatized me, I’ve never been treated so ignorantly and ignored by a doctor like this. perhaps it’s because I’m young but that’s no excuse. I’ve been to this office 3 times total because I believe in giving chances however this place did not deserve the chances I gave. Today I waited in an exam room for over an hour due to pain I’ve been there once for already. After a little over an hour of waiting in pain Dr. Susan Stevens came into that exam room for LESS than 5 MINUTES to tell me to go somewhere else and blamed it on my diet while I was borderline crying in her exam room. Less than an hour later I get a call from her front desk worker and all she said to me was and quite frankly in a rude tone “DONT EAT ANYTHING YOU HAVE A CT EXAM SCHEDULED FOR TODAY” 1. I was not aware they were scheduling me for an exam that same day 2. The office didn’t even ask me if I was okay with it and 3. When I told the office I needed it scheduled for a different day because I had already eaten and I had to go into work I was met with extreme attitude and a horrible guilt trip because I had eaten after my appointment even though I had made the doctor aware earlier one of my symptoms was dizziness and nausea. This treatment is NOT OKAY and I did not deserve this, I will immediately be finding a new pcp. If you are thinking about trying this office DONT. And if you really have no other choice DO NOT see Dr. Stevens , see her PA Grant , at the very least he’s kind and he’ll listen to your problems and take them seriously. I left her office sobbing today and nobody, especially a scared young woman should have to leave their doctors office feeling worse and guilty.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for the past 23 years. She is an exceptional listener and really knows her stuff! And if she believes I would benefit from a specialist, she makes that process so easy for me. She’s patient with me and has taken the time over the years to really get to know me as well as my family. Dr. Schmidt is very accessible and takes great care in communicating with her patients via the patient portal. Dr. Schmidt always has a way of making me feel at ease- she knows I’m a worrier. I always leave her office knowing I’m in good hands. Doctors like Dr. Schmidt are not easy to find these days. I feel very fortunate to be one of her patients.

very unprofessional and rude. I’m not sure if it was because i was black or because i’m young, but the ladies working here went out of their way to be unkind. I would come in for appointments and be completely ignored by staff and nurses. I would have to go in to get blood drawn and the staff legit wouldn’t say a word to me. My concerns/complaints weren’t taken seriously. When i expressed concern I was brushed off by both the nurse and the doctor numerous times like my issues were not a big deal. I had 5 appointments here for the same reason and they never provided any type of treatment.This is not a at all a welcoming environment. I suggest looking elsewhere for physicians.

I am confused why the office girl Katie would take down all my information for an appointment insurance and everything and even schedule an appointment only to be turned around DAY OF because they don’t accept my insurance. Waste of my time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for 27 years I would never find another doctor is dedicated to my health as she has been.

Just visited Dr. Stevens for the first time, great care, great practice, I'm so happy I have found an awesome new doctor
