This hospital is going down more and more. I came in to see my oldest daughter in the ER who had been in the ER for almost 2 hrs as and there was urine, a pregnancy test, dirty gloves and alcohol wipes STILL laying on the counter. There was dried up blood from someone else all around all sides of the bed AND my daughter had to request for the bedsheets to be changed because the sheets were filthy. When I told the nurse she tells me it's fine I can just throw all the urine and bloody wipes and gauze away. Oh and I'm here today with my youngest for a possible broken foot and they xrayed the ankle!! They didn't realize it 3 hrs later when the doctor comes and says her ankle is not broken. no one said ANYTHING about the ankle!!
I will miss Westlake hospital. I just gave birth to my daughter here March 18th and the nurses, doctors and the staff was just simply wonderful to me and my baby making sure we were taken care of. This hospital was everybody to go to hospital in my family I mean is very convenient up the street from everybody I mean it was perfect. I will miss Jerry for her help with me being a mom all over again with breastfeeding. She called to check on me and I forgot to return her call. I will miss her terribly. I will bring my baby to show how much She grew i love you Westlake and I feel so bad that no one saw the wonderful work you've done with all your patients.
I would like to recognize my emergency room nurse named Mike. This gentleman went totally above and beyond for a total stranger and treated me with the care and compassion that I have not seen in a hospital in a long time. I’m being admitted for chest pain and passing out and have yet to experience the rest of the hospital, but if it’s anything like the treatment I received from my nurse Mike, I will have nothing but good things to say about this hospital. It takes a special kind of person to go above and beyond the way Mike did for a total stranger. He has a servants heart and it will not be forgotten.
Had my baby there and let me tell you il never go there again. The young skinny hispanic girl that worked 3rd shift assuming bc i was there overnight didnt want to be bothered, and on top of it she was laughing while i was pushing the baby out!!! Ridiculous staff!! Wish i knew her name so i could tell the head department. Had her both times i gave birth and both times she was rude as hell acting like she was the s*** because she was the only one there. Il never go there again
My dad underwent spinal fusion surgery just last week. The procedure lasted about 6 hours. He was hospitalized 4 1/2 days 3 days in the ICU, and a night and a 1/2 in a regular room before being discharged. The staff, overall, was nice and courteous, though the rooms and spaces in the facility were a bit small and shabby - but fairly clean. *One thing my dad was not a fan of was the head Doctor or floor director whomever she was on floor 6 who went to his room #669 that pretty much forced his discharge despite his OWN doctor's ordes. His Dr. was supposed to find him a ride home and was not authorizing him to leave until then. He made her aware of this but she had an attitude and said that the state was paying for his stay - when in fact, it was his insurance covering the expenses. She was so determined to get him off the room that she arranged for a van pick him up to take him home, herself. I don't mind that she did he was recovering expectedly well and was supposed to at least be released by that day anyway but it was just how rude she went off and did it
Worst hospital ever! I’m glad they are closing down. RN Carolyn and DR kamaroff should not be in the medical field. My 19yr sister was not feeling well for days and decided to go in. She was scared even though on birth control that she might be pregnant or that her Nexplanon was making her sick she asked for a blood test because urine samples in our family have not proven reliable when it comes to conforming pregnancy’s the RN denied her request and DR kamaroff told her that her situation is not IMPORTANT and that they are to BUSY and sent her home with no further checkup or tests to find out why she was so ill and yet they where happy to hand her a bill for her visit and work that they did not do. They where very unprofessional! Definitely not sad to see westlake go.
I took my 6 year old to the ER and when the doctor came in, he barely looked at the issue, didn't give his name, didn't tell me what he thought the issue was. All I was told by the doctor was "it looks fine to me, but follow up with his pediatrician as soon as possible" and then he left the room. The nurse came in and told me the doctor believed it was a skin tag. The discharge papers held no information aside from my sons name and birthdate or instructions, and wasn't even full discharge papers. We saw a doctor at our doctor's office and guess what?? It wasn't a skin tag. It's a cyst. He's being referred to a specialist. I wouldn't have even given one star for this Emergency Department.
Glad they’re closing down! Took my daughter back in the beginning of the summer for a possible broken pinky it was swollen and purple it took hours before we saw a doctor, and when she came in she was talking about a pregnancy my daughter is 7! I looked at her and was like you mean a pinky issue she said oh yeah, they put a simple finger splint on it and sent us home only saw the doctor twice and she didn’t bother looki at my daughter! Got a call to go back the next day because they had put the wrong aplomb I took her to Loyola turns out I was right and it was broken!!! They could have made it worse with the wrong splint they put on her!!!!! And they wanted to charge 4,000!!!!
Did an X-Ray for my back and the guy that took care of me, Frank, was freaking awesome!!! He was really professional and fast. He is a social person and makes sure that everything goes well. I swear if I ever come back for any type of situations like these I will surely ask for Frank. Thank you, Frank
Was a patient in July ,2018 was treated horribly by staff. I complained to the "higher up" president of PC. Nothing Been quiet bout it. But what about the next person . who's not as strong as me. Let's lift up the rug. And see all the dirt that under it. God told me to speak.
