Post-COVID, BurlingiMain Public Library remains on of my favorites among and of the libraries in our area. Great selectio. Cool building. Excellent location. Lots of services, events, and equipment. Worth a trip any day of the week!
strange library hours make sure you check before you go. Lots of kid meaning lots of noise, it feels like a McDonald's or a coffee shop rather than a library. If you insist to go there especially in the afternoon then i strongly encourage you to bring some ear buds. there are several young kids in the neighborhood who always hang out here and play online games, don't be surprised when you see them running around and making noise. very poor wifi quality, try to stay by the window area or just use the neighboring xfinity wifi. staff are very nice.
Librarians are very helpful. Lots of items to choose from. Nice atmosphere. Quiet most of the time. A little more activity after school lets out. Not bad. They deserve their time there as well as this senior.
I have been coming to this library since moving to Daly City in the early 1990s. I used to also come here after school to do my homework and wait for my parent to pick me up. It's a very safe place with eateries nearby. After coming here for years, I've noticed a change in technology, organizational methods, and librarians. The tables and chairs haven't changed, however, but they're cleaner than I remember. The library card system is a bit confusing, having to renew it every month. There's a fair selection of different book genres here and a cozy children's place nestled near the aquarium. Restrooms are clean and in service. Librarians are keen to help visitors with their library and printing needs. I only rated this library 4 stars due to lack of a parking lot. You'd think they'd offer more parking options after more than twenty years. The only available parking are those near Burlington Coat Factory or street parking. Be wary of the parking signs as well. If you park near the library, one half is 20 minute parking while the other half is an hour parking. Also, Westlake Libary is only open Tuesday through Saturday at 12pm. Closing times vary. Back in my day, the library was open from 10am to 8pm everyday. Choose wisely and happy reading!
It is very noicy place. After 3 pm all school kids come and scream play with each other even in the places where no talk policy supposed to be obeyed. Though staff is super nice but they do nothing to make children calm.
Great little library in a cozy space. San Mateo county’s library exchange is great as well as its ebook lending library system. Wish this branch had longer hours, but that is out of the library’s control.
Why they call it public??? If Sunday and Monday closed and Tuesday open at 12 pm!!! Well you should knows the students and the community wake up early and they're not such lazy people like some, don't say it's public library where you don't know what the community needs!!!
I visited this place to stay away from outside noises and concentrate on my works. But after 20 minutes i left that place as the library noise was loader than outside where all the noises came from the library staffs.
This library is the best library I've been to! They have fast service and people follow the rules. Such a great library
Great neighborhood library with very friendly and helpful librarians.
