My son was involved in a minor traffic incident on private property. I showed up to see what was going on and was threatened with obstuction of justice and, with being arrested. My son is a minor and they would not let me be present during questioning... Corruption at it"s finest! Westlake police department can not be trusted!!
I'm a truck driver from Michigan and was west bound on I90 at 4am this morning and saw police lights coming east bound in the west bound lane. I immediately got over only to see a wrong way driver and Westlake PD thankfully following right behind them. Your bravery helped warn us innocent motorists and got us all out of the way. As i sit with my family today I am thankful for your act of placing yourselves in danger.
How is it that a person can get pulled over, questioned about their medications, do a field sobriety test and pass, be told they have blood shot and an 'uncontrollable' twitch in their eyes when coming out of the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn in Westlake by a Westlake Police Officer? I am permenantly disabled, I have seasonal allergies and I did nothing wrong, illegal or perverse. I yielded to oncoming traffic, I stopped and waited at the intersection legally, I used my signals, and I obeyed the speed limit. Yet, because this hotel may be known for unsavory activity, and I was minding my own business I was still targeted. This officer patrols the parking lot looking for 'hunches'. I mean, kudos to the diligence of Westlake PD, but they completely wasted good taxpayer dollars on me. I go there for respite from my daily life, not to partake in whatever 'hunch' these police may think I am doing. Feel free to search my vehicle with your orange gloves, call for backup and draw attention from spectators at any time. I feel honored that 3 police cruisers came to inspect my vehicle full of groceries. What an experience
I treated an officer that pulled me over with the utmost respect. He was very rude to me and accused me of "flying by" at a speed of 38 miles per hour on a 35 mile an hour road. He then proceeds to tell me that I was in a school zone, which I was NOT. I asked him to prove my speed in the school zone and he refused. He only asked for my drivers license and came back with a $273 ticket for 40 in a 20! I drive for a living and it's nice to know that Westlake police have no problem being fraudulent. This is just like the Rocky River cop that got busted a while back for pulling people over and giving them tickets for no reason. I don't doubt he clocked me at 40, but like i said......its not a crime on a 35mph road.
Dispatcher was super friendly, police responded to a trespassing call at my business. Only concern - the trespasser was of “older” age and thus my concern for employees’/customers’ safety was not shared by all responding officers. They were super friendly and helpful nonetheless.
My mother went to file a police report. Instead of telling her simply it was a civil matter, the officer began to engage in a legal discussion about the merits of a possible case. They need to hire Barney Fife over there; they can learn a lesson from the Rocky River police department. They made a senior citizen cry. These tough guys should stick to their jobs and not hand out legal advice.
They feed you well but the food is always cold, the staff may be attentive but they don't seem too concerned about your overall comfort and, there is no pool.
I Called to report a traffic light malfunction. And they hung up the phone when I said it's a non emergency. The woman asked if it was a emergency I said no its non emergency then click.
Non-emergency was horribly rude, refused to be helpful at all when I was calling to inquire about public knowledge. Awful service, awful woman.
hypocrites. said i could pick up my wife in 1 hour. that was 7 hours ago. now they say next day and hang up on me. they are very rude and disrespectful.
