Dr. Adams is a certified specialist in orthodontics currently practicing four days per week at Westside Orthodontics. She graduated from UBC dental school in 1993 and practiced general dentistry for four years before returning to her studies in orthodontics. She attended University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta for 2½ years to complete a masters degree in orthodontics. She worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia from 2001-2005 where she instructed senior dental students in the treatment of orthodontic patients. Dr. Adams has given presentations to local dental study clubs on Current and Esthetic Orthodontic Treatment in 2009.
Dr. Adams belongs to the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. She created the Wire Works Study Club with other local orthodontists and has served as its President twice in the past eight years. Dr. Adams has served the dental community as the orthodontic representative to the Dental Specialist Society.
