I've been going to this store for past 4-5 years but my experience with the people behind the counter has always been rude, unprofessional, cold. They need to learn that a smile in your face and being polite saying 'thank you' 'hi' will always earn more happy customers. I would recommend all to visit Wine Districts at 5213 Presidents Ct over this store, staffs there are so friendly and professionals. Not gonna spent any of valuable time going to this store.
They're awesome. Super nice to me and my baby. They always have what I need and the location is convenient. I am a reoccurring customer.
I went in today to look for Buffalo Trace Bourbon and found one behind the counter. Asked the guy "How much?" He scanned the bottle and it came out with the price of $49. Told him to hold on as I wanted to look around inside the store. Then went back to the counter and told him I will take it. He then scanned it again and the price came out at $59. I told him that I saw it was for $49 and he then said, "It was a mistake." Really??? I think he "jacked up" the price knowing that it is hard to find. I have been shopping around looking for high end bourbons and I know the market. Normally, it will cost me $39 to $49. The prices inside the store are higher too pricy compared to other stores. If I were you, I would go to either DJ Liquors or Wine District at Westview. I strongly recommend Wine District. The prices are reasonably and very good selective.
For your urgent Korean beverage needs: Kooksoondang draft, flavors, Jinro and other soju. Thanks to auntie for the free cups and shot glasses!
I feel valued as a customer--even if it's months between visits, the staff remembers me and we hold conversations. I do wish they had a larger selection, but I wish that about every liquor store. They are the only store in the area to stock one of my preferred wine brands from the Finger Lakes region!
My husband and I went in to grab a bottle of wine. we looked for the wine we wanted but couldn’t find it. So I asked the cashier if they had what I was looking for which was Roscato Rosso Dolce which is a Sweet Red wine. He brings me over to the champagne and I said very nicely it’s a wine not a champagne do you have any sweet red wines and he just walked away from me. So I said ok I guess that’s a no. No answer. I would never go here again with the disrespect these people gave. if a customer asks you a question and you either answer with yes it’s over here or no I’m sorry we don’t. I work in customer service I know how hard it can be but I would NEVER Treat my clients / customers this way. It’s this kind of disrespect and behavior that has brought the customer service business down.
I used to love this place. My dad and I found this liquor store last summer and the staff was so nice and they had a great variety. For whatever reason I didn’t go back for awhile. I went in about two weeks ago and bought 2 single cans and while attempting to pay I realized I picked up the wrong can. I asked the guy if I could put it back and grab the right one, he mumbled some derogatory words about me being a woman and that being why I grabbed the wrong can. Even though they had been stocked wrong... any how I went about my life, grabbed a new can, and returned to the counter to pay. The man behind the counter literally started talking expletives about F***ing liberals, how democrats are all “morons who love ANTIFA” and then flashed me and my friend the loaded gun he had holstered to his hip. Note we didn’t say ANYTHING political to him and paid for our cans and left. Have your opinion, my guy, but making some super intense political statements unprompted and then flashing a weapon at customers does not make you money. I will never come back here and have since warned my friends to find their way to another one of the many liquor stores on 40 who won’t insult you or try and scare you with loaded guns. Hope this place goes out of business soon. The dude behind the counter had some dangerous ideology.
Best liquor store ever!!! Everything is so well organized and they have a huge variety of sojus! Thank you so much guys
I used to like this liquor store because of the selection and the prices, but the younger guy working behind the counter is very rude. I have several stories I could share about his awful attitude, but I’ll only share my most recent one. A few months ago, I noticed they carried a limited edition wine. The company made 4 different types, but Westridge Liquors only had 1 of the 4. No big deal, I picked up 5 bottles of what they had and headed to the counter. The guy asked if I wanted anymore and if I bought the entire case, he would give me a discount. I did appreciate it, but kindly told him I didn’t need that much. He got a little defensive and said “but you are buying 5?” Keep in mind a case was 12 bottles of wine and was already over $10.00 per bottle. Not only would it have been a lot of wine, but it would have been expensive too. I still declined, bought what I needed and left. Fast forward a few months... I was stopping in to get some beer and walked the isles to see if they got any of the other varieties of that wine. The same guy asked if I needed help and I told him “I was in here a few months ago and you had XYZ wine, but am looking for the ABC kind. Do you have that?” the guy literally said “yeah I remember you and I remember I told you needed to buy the rest of the wine while we had it. Now you want more….”. I said “But I am looking for a different variety. You only had the one kind." He turned around and walked away saying “Sorry can’t help you. You should have bought it when we had it.”….. BUT THEY DIDN’T HAVE THE OTHER KINDS AT THE TIME!!! He was very rude. I almost walked out without buying the beer I went in for, but I was on a time crunch and got it any way. Regardless, I am never going back to this store. There is a MUCH better store called Ye Old Spirits Shop on 7th Street. The people there are not only nice, but helpful as well they offered to place a special order for me so I could get the different varieties of wine. I would HIGHLY recommend using Ye Old Spirits instead. Their prices are about the same too.
I highly recommend this place! Westridge is a family owned, local establishment with a great selection and great prices. The family is very knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to answer questions you may have and help you pick out the right beverage for the occasion. I've been here to stock up for holiday parties, birthdays, and cookouts, and they always seem to make the perfect suggestions. Try them out and you'll see why they're so awesome!
