My wife and I came here to find a nice used vehicle for her to use around town and we were not disappointed. Ellis was extremely friendly and very professional. We were able to find a very nice 2005 Dodge Durango, which was exactly what we had been shopping for and it was within our budget. They gave us a very fair amount for our trade. All and all the whole experience was very pleasurable. We have bought 2 new cars and this was our first used vehicle. I highly recommend Wheel City.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Wheel City Auto Tampa! I am a 2 time customer and love coming and making my payments because Stephanie and Ron's customer service are off the charts! I am a server myself and have been for about 15 years; I say this because I know what GREAT customer service skills areI am a certified trainer at my job and they both definitely have them! They are both so personable, but always still professional and made and make the process from first buying the cars to everything after, so easy! *Dexter and John are PHENOMENAL AS WELL*THANK YOU STEPHANIE AND RON FOR BEING SO AMAZING*
My husband and i left here feeling like we wasted our time. They pretty much treated us like a joke the entire process because we have bad credit and they felt like we wouldnt get approved for much. When all was said and done they wanted $3500 down on the car we wanted, which we were able to do. But then when we started discussing them repairing the already broken speakers they got very rude with us and all but kicked us out. I guess they misjudged us, not knowing we had the cash to throw down. They say they believe in second chances, but prepare to be treated like poor trash in exchange for that chance.
I just purchased a vehicle today rosa and derrick were very polite and helpful with everything. They are amazing! All in all my experience with them was a 10 out of 10. I would for sure recommend someone to wheel city for people like me who have no credit just starting out and need a lil help starting and building up credit. So grateful for wheel city to help me out getting the perfect car for me.
Junk cars with high miles. When I wasn't satisfied with the high mileage beat up cars they were trying to sell me the salesman told me I wasn't allowed to be picky because of my credit even though i was putting $3,000 down. Then, the one guy insulted my husbands job, but they work at a buy here pay here car dealership so it's not like they have room to judge anyone's job. I left shortly after, went to another dealer, found an awesome car with less than 60,000 miles, in great condition, for payments that were much less than they were asking.. Don't listen to the fake BS reviews. This places is awful. Just because you have bad credit doesn't mean you deserved to get screwed over. There are decent cars out there for people who have fallen on hard times, and don't have credit. Places like this take advantage of those in this situation and it's shameful.
Do not buy a car from this place. They promise a warranty but all they do is over price cars. They claim that they have fixed them when in reality they quick fixed the car and it will break within 15 minutes of driving. They even claimed to give my friend a rental while they "fixed" his car. As he drove down the highway the tire flew off. The next day they said his car was fixed for a 3rd time and it once again broke down. I rated it one star but they do not even deserve that. If you want to be scammed out of thousands of dollars and mess up your credit for a broken car I definitely advise you to come here! You may even have some near death experiences in their cars because they clearly only care about cheap fixes and money.
This is one of the nicest buy here-pay here lots with the friendliest staff and best selection of cars in Tampa. They have pre-owned cars that are all newer models and come with great warranties. I would highly recommend Wheel City Auto to anyone looking for a great pre-owned car.
DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY HAVE NOW MERGED WITH CREDIT CARS IN ORLANDO. I purchased a car from them October of last year and have nothing but issues with it. The first week I had to take it back the rear calipers were bad. Then I had to have the front axels replaced. Had to take it back again because the axels that were put on were defective and they decided that the torque converter in the transmission was causing the axel issues so the replaced the transmission as well as the axels. During this time I had the check the AC several times and the kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it. Then I had a coil pack go bad and I asked them to just do all 4 while they were in there but they did not want to do this. Now I have it back to them again and this time another coil pack is bad but they have to replace all of them this time as the valve cover was leaking and there was oil on them so they now also have to replace the valve cover and the AC which there was nothing wrong with no the clutch is not engaging so now the AC compressor has to be replaced and last but not least the Drive Shaft has to be replace as it is not serviceable because it is an AWD. which they are telling my the Drive Shaft is not part of the powertrain so it is no covered on the warranty. So all this in 1 year I think I need to be compensated for all of my time and money spent because the don't give you a loaner while yours is being worked on. So I have to depend on others to get me to work and where I need to be. There is very poor customer service because they tell you they will call you back with an update and never do. I dropped my car off this time on Monday at 7:30 am and I had to call multiple times to get any answers from Tom the service manager. Then he tells me part of it will be ready tomorrow and I don't hear anything from him as an update so I call and he says let me go check and I'll call you back and never does and I have to call again. Now here we are Thursday and still car isn't ready. Called corporate upset car not ready and advised Tom is not calling with updates as he stated. Received call from Tom shortly after stating I'll call you when I have the part in hand so you know we are almost done and again no calls. Wait and call again around 4:15 Tom has stepped out of the office but car is ready need to finalize paperwork will call when ready. Still no return call yet and it's Friday morning. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!
I called to inquire about a vehicle 2000 Nissan Exterra that was advertised. I wanted to know the mileage and price of the vehicle which was omitted from the ad . The person I spoke with Stephanie told me that I had to apply for financing etc FIRST to see if I would qualify to buy the vehicle. I said that I was going to buy it cash so I need not give my info prior to knowing more about the vehicle, and then deciding if I wanted to go to the dealership to see the vehicle. With ID fraud so rampant I wonder why this dealership is so insistent on getting a person's private information without even a contract/agreement. She said that "THEY DO NOT SELL ANY VEHICLE FOR CASH". I wonder what their business practices truly are. Anyway I was definitely NOT pleased with the attitude nor service. They lost my business.
Yes I had problems with the vehicle. But the warranty was backed up good and i got everything fixed with the car. Stephanie and Dexter did a good job making sure I had a rental. Everything worked out good and I have zero problems
