Don and Talia are absolutely amazing!!! They handled everything flawlessly and with our tardiness, Talia still managed to get obituary in paper after the deadline had passed. She went above and beyond her duties when it came to insurance. She left no stone unturned. Cant write how appreciative we all are for their professionalism and attention to detail. I most definitely give my highest recommendation to anyone in the future.

Don, Talia, Mike and Dylan - everybody at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home - were very kind and very helpful. They made the whole process much more bearable. They were there for me in any way that I needed. From helping to plan the funeral service through the grieving process they were a big help and were more like close friends who were just there for me if I needed them. We found their products, services and packages to be very nice with something for anyone's needs or budget. They were also flexible. My experience with the fine people at Whiddon Shiver is that their main concern was in helping to take care of my needs.

I cannot say enough positive things about Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. This has been an awful year by me losing both of my parents. Don and his team are so kind and sympathetic and took care of my family fabulously. Their facility is stylish and clean. They are all professional but make you feel like family! I would highly recommend Whiddon-Shiver to everyone.

Don Shiver and staff did an excellent job with several funerals I have been involved with planning. They go above and beyond, making sure that the family's needs and wants are met. I highly recommend this funeral home to anyone. There's no pressure to buy things you don't want or need, when you're trying to work with a budget, which was the case in one of the funerals I had to plan.

Having never done this before, I was at a loss. At Whiddon and Shiver they get you through the experience and make you feel at ease. The atmosphere is bright and beautiful for the purpose it serves. There was no feeling of darkness, gloom and doom like other funeral homes. As odd as this seems, the evening before the service, my daughters and I spent some time there talking to Mr. Shiver and beautiful miss Talia, his side kick no disrespect intended just seems so fitting. Afterwards while leaving, a peace came over me and I told my daughter "i know this sounds strange but I feel good about leaving her there because I feel she's safe" if they hadn't been so nice , I may not have felt that way. We probably kept them later than the usual, I don't know. I highly recommend whiddon and shiver if the time ever comes to anyone who has to deal with an unexpected event. They walk you through it and they do it all. They are very patient, kind, and genuinely caring people. Thankyou again Whiddon and Shiver

Whiddon Shiver funeral services handled the arrangements of my mother. It was an easy experience during the difficult time. Don was very helpful. He greeted me at the front door of the funeral home expressing his condolences. He then walked us through each step of the process in a calm, respectful manner.
