U never see any fellow campers outside , dogs roam the campgrounds without leashes or there owners, and they never clean up there dog poop! The owner hit my camper and messed up my door with mower an dented camper, never told me or offered to pay for it and then got mad when i didnt pay lot rent for month! Instead of keeping business between us he told the whole 2 other campers living there about everything and would have to hear there mouth as well as the owner! Very boring ride and unfriendly campground!!!!
Loved it can't wait to go back
They may try to charge you to portage. However they cannot if they dont assist you they cannot charge. A property owner CANNOT prevent paddlers from portaging a hazard. As long as the paddlers are not damaging property, they are allowed to portage a hazard then return to the water at the first available opportunity. This is state law. The same would apply to any owner trying to charge a fee to "allow" a paddler to portage. The only thing a property owner can charge for is direct access via their property if it is not a public putin. Sadly that appears to be the case here. The ODNR should be using our registration fees to make this a public launch. Especially with the dam there.
Spent a month here in 2014... Made our family closer than we already were. Great place to wake up and fall asleep. No huge drunken parties. Clean. Bathrooms, showers... GREAT place to camp or visit. Cheap tent camping!
They charge ppl canoing the river just to get your canoe around the falls!!! Wth!? But that's getting put to a stop real soon!! Absolutely ridiculous for them to take advantage of ppl because they can! Just shows you what kind of ppl manage/own this place though doesn't it???
Had a great weekend.. friendly people...beautiful scenery...kids had a blast playing in river.. ty...we will be back!
