Whispering Pine Lodge

We had a great time staying at the lodge. We loved the fact that it used to be her restaurant and was turned into a cabin for 8. Very peaceful and the owners were the kindest people we had meet. The beds are a little on the hard side but after a day of hitting the trails they were just fine. We loved the wrap around covered porch and the space to move around inside. We most definitely will be coming back to stay.

While working in the area, I stayed at the little cabins for a week this year and 3 weeks last year. Much better than the hotel options in the area and very quiet. The owners are friendly and always answer the phone which I appreciate! The kitchens have plenty of cooking utensils and usually a few bonus spices! I'm usually not too picky about water, but bring your own for drinking. For cooking and showering it's fine, but it's a little rough on it's own.

We stayed in the lodge and it was great. Lots of room and beds. Bring your own pillows. People who own the place are great. Very private and relaxing. Close to the atv trails. Has a GREAT wrap around deck. We will definitely stay here again.Rooms: 4/5

Just got back from a 3-night stay with our small girls. They loved it. Quiet, owners were great, simple but everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. They even provided firewood and plenty of it! nice place and if we are ever in that area again, we'd definitely stay there a second time!Rooms: 5/5

This was our first time staying in the cabins at Whispering Pines. Edie the owner and her son were very accommodating and friendly. The cabin was beautiful, clean,, secure and completely equipped with everything one could need or desire while on vacation. Firewood was plentiful, chairs, picnic table, private fire pit and cooking tripod all provided. Easy access to plenty of fishing and swimming spots, ATV trails and more. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Whispering Pines to anyone looking for a wonderful place to make family memories.

Very casual. Minimal check in or check out procedure, but the people we dealt with were very friendly and attentive. The cabins were clean, well maintained, and had pretty much everything we needed. Firepit, wood, lighter, chairs, and all the kitchen utensils you would need for a few days stay. We enjoyed it.

Stayed at the cabins for a retreat in August 2017. Cabins nice, clean and in a very quiet, serene location. I would highly recommend for a romantic getaway. Also a great spot for families who want to ATV for the weekend - easy access to trails right on property.

We rented the Lodge 6/2018 Plenty of room, clean, HUGE. All of us had a blast!! Cabins look really nice. Water needs to be checked,, bad water. We bought large bottles of water. We would go back,, great place for family fun.

My 3 kids and I spent a weekend in one of the cozy cabins at Whispering Pine. These cabins are perfect for a weekend getaway in the northwoods. The cabin was very clean and had all the basics required to serve as a base camp for fun in the woods. The cabins had clean and dry firewood for outdoor fires, the picnic tables were covered with a tarp so they were clean and dry when we arrived as well. Inside there is radiant floor heating which is awesome. There is a stove top, microwave and fridge, but no oven - no big deal but nice to know. There were plates, cups, cooking utensils and silverware, but just barely enough for the 4 of us. Some things that are important to know: there is only one couch for lounging on while watching a movie another chair or love seat would be great, there was no shampoo or conditioner there was soap, and the toilet paper is as thin as it gets. None of these are bad things, just wish I knew ahead of time. All in all, it's a great setting with easy access to the many county parks and forests in Oconto and Marinette County. We enjoyed playing in the woods and checking out all of the waterfalls in the area on our trip. We will stay here again for sure.
