For an overnight or weekend stay I would definitely come again! It's a pretty quiet spread out campground. Plenty of space in your spot and to walk your pup or kids to ride bikes. It's gorgeous at sunset. Nice folks and older amenities but clean. The only ding for me is the lack of wifi or any type of phone signal for Verizon.Rooms: 5/5
Only one star because zero isn't an option. Stopped for a bed in the hostel as a thru-hiker. Nothing for resupply in their store; got a soda. Went with the option to close out with a credit card at the end of the stay. The coin operated shower took 3 of the 5 minutes per quarter to heat up. The WiFi doesn't work. Found out my other reservation actually went thru. Used the coin operated laundry by throwing my clothes in with a fellow thru-hiker that is staying. Close out was $10 because "we don't allow people off the street to take showers." I owed them for a soda. That's it. Should have charged it and then cancelled it thru the bank.
I highly recommend White Birches Campground. We stayed in a lovely tent site near the river, but they have a variety of site types if you're looking for an electrical hookup for RV/trailer. Their prices are super reasonable. Clean bathrooms and showers. Great location, the camp store is great to have onsite and is well stocked. Not to mention you are only a few minutes from town. I would absolutely stay here again.
Fantastic spot to camp. We had a large wooded tent site. The soothing babbling brook and cool overnight temperature made for an outstanding start the camping season. Hot clean showers, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
We booked a weekend get away to ride UTVs,and this campground is only a few miles from the UTV rentals northeast. We had the best time at white birches. The staff were incredibly friendly. They even gave us a ride to the northeast rental when our Uber, that doesn't exist up there never showed up. Their swimming pool was refreshing and clean. The showers and bathrooms were also very clean. They have two nice trails you can enjoy, one by the river, that you can also rebt kayaks to explore, and one up the mountain that brings you to a natural fresh water pool that you can jump off the rocks into. I would highly recommend this camp ground, and we will definitely be going back soon. Nearby activities: Atv/Utv riding. Safety: Quiet clean campground where you feel safe to leave your belongings out and vehicle unlocked. Noteworthy details: Private trails just for campers. Very helpful, friendly staff.
We rented an RV and it smelled like sewage the whole weekend. When we informed them, first they tried to argue with us that it was normal. Then they came up and did something but it did not fix the issue, so they just gave us an air freshener. Then we told them there was not hot water, and they literally said "Well how are we supposed to know if you don't tell us" as if we were not standing in front of them and telling them...... Then they complained that people don't tell them things and just leave a bad review.....Like ya I can see why people don't tell them things since their reactions are defensive and unhelpful. And they did not fix the hot water at all. or the sewage smell. The last day the sewage literally backed up into the shower and the smell was so bad we just stopped using the bathroom in the RV because we couldn't stand the smell. Also they advertise WIFI but it only works at their office area at the entrance. I understand that issues happen, but we informed them of the issues and they were defensive and then did not fix anything. When there are so many other campgrounds all around there is really no reason to choose this one.
Great park, FHU level gravel/grass site, good people running it, great fellow campers, lots of supplies in office, really nice pool & great area.Rooms: 5/5
Great family friendly spot. Great for kids with lots to do within the campground. I like that they enforce quiet time! Janet and Bob are awesome people!!!Rooms: 5/5
Had a wonderful stay here at site 100. Will happily be returning here again. Our site was well maintained and the views/sounds of the brook were perfect.Rooms: 5/5
We just left there today....sadly. we had a great time and hated to leave. We arranged for a two week stay late last Agust for the first two weeks of August this year. The owners, Bob and Janet Langly are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. So friendly and they treated us like we were family . We love this place. Very peaceful and everyone we talked with that were staying there were very friendly. Bob and Janet are very friendly and helpful, honest and straight forward. We can't hardly wait to go back next year. Love this place.
