This place was jumping last Thursday night! We were in the area on a vacation. The big white Buffalo upfront right after you enter the bar/club to your immediate right. Hence the name White Buffalo. The hosts there and door guys were chill and cool. We found some nice women. Id love to converse and dance with her I hope we hear from them soon when were there.
Was out for the evening a few weeks ago and White Buffalo was one of the places I was possibly going to check out . My goal was to find a place with live music . I approached the entrance of the Buffalo around 9pm and I asked a young man who was appropriately dressed to be staff if there was any live music possibly tonight and he told me that “ it not a thing downtown “ thinking to myself that obviously he is not familiar with the downtown entertainment . He then continued chatting with his friends and had no desire to invite me in to have a cocktail at the bar or check the place out . I then went to Looseys where they had a band and I had a great time .
pretty lit club speakers cut off and get screechy though, i don’t recommend finding your future wife here they all like backing it up on every guy you’ll see. plus i caught covid here last weekend so
It may have been a slow Saturday night so there weren't much people. The music choices were good and sounded good throughout the place. The drinks were okay, I had to drink part of it first to mix it and get the flavor of aomething besides alcohol vodka and cranberry, as I think the bartender poured it backwards. But the staff were friendly and gave us a free round of lemon drops on the house.
Music is iffy depending on the DJ, first time we went was not good, but second time was decent. Drinks are also hit or miss, but for a college bar they're ok.
Usually pretty packed and they play good music it’s also pretty big in there sometimes the line is really long though and you have to wait a while but overall I like it it’s fun to go on thursdays or Saturday’s usually
THE BEST SPOT in Gainesville! Recently moved here from Miami, and this reminds me of home. It’s already my favorite bar/club. The outside gets very crazy, however security maintains great organization to ensure quality experience when entering. Inside, the place is packed with fun vibrant people, and awesome music. 10/10 Reccomend.
I sat at the bar the entire night with my jacket laying on the bar next to me. Randomly in the night, a girl snatched my jacket sitting right in front of me. I tried to calmly explain to the girl that she accidentally took my jacket, when suddenly her and her friend group just started yelling at me and were trying to fight me. The bouncers arrived and did nothing to resolve the situation by refusing to check who the owner of the jacket was. instead, they removed myself and my fiancé from the bar and allowed the thief and her friend group to stay in the bar. A girl stole my jacket and tried to fight me, yet we were the ones to get kicked out! It was extremely embarrassing, and I am mortified with how this robbery was managed. I have absolutely no doubt this is all on a video camera if someone would actually take the time to look. I honestly cannot support any establishment that allows theft and group intimidation through threats of violence to occur, and it should raise serious concern for any future customers.
The bar is a little simple big open space but it’s clean and feels modern. A barn warehouse with a small single bar in the middle. It was pretty empty but the bar tender was attentive to me and the White Buffalo drink was great. This is a nice place for people who want to just hang out and grab a drink.
Be glad I don't use yelp. Paid 8 dollars for something that tasted like a one dollar drink. The bartender was a mess and she expected me to hear her while she turned around and kept talking. The place was dead. Men's room had a stall with no mirror or water, but that's where the soap was. The sinks outside the stalls had water but no soap. How do you expect for employees to wash their hands? Let alone customers. Just close for good already.
