The White Cross Volunteer Fire Department was created in 1985 to provided fire protection to last unprotected unincorporated area of Orange County. The area is in south west Orange County and protects approximately 34 square miles with a population between 4000 and 5000 people. Since its creation the department as grown to consists of two stations with 7 pieces of apparatus. The department now provides EMT services, Technical Rescue Services, Public Education, and Fire Protection Services.
