I have lived here for almost 10 yrs.. Enjoyed my stay, but with the new management here now, I'm ready to leave. I recently got custody of my grandson, so needed to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. I spoke with management and it wasn't a problem. I was told it would be a 500 dollar deposit, np. Gave them a money order back in November to move the 1st of the year. Once the first got here, I asked about when I will be able to move. Got a few stories, about the place needing to be cleaned and a stove. So each week I would ask . So here's February still haven't moved. Last Sunday, the hallway in front of the bathroom became wet. Put in a maintenance request on Monday. Maintenance staff came on Tuesday, told me they may need an outsider to check if it's coming through the walls. So been waiting for someone to look at it, but no one has come yet. It's been a week and my floor is soaking wet. Asked about the 2 bedroom and today a different story. Management told me, I wouldn't be able to move due to already in a lease. They knew I was under a lease when they took my 500. I have been packed for over 3 months waiting to move. Where's the honest, and caring about your tenants; could've said that in the beginning. Since I'm stuck here until May. Who can I contact about my floor?
If you are looking for a dump look no further. If you want a place that has broken lights outside, flickering lights, holes in their fence, issues with your fire place, AC that leaks over night and ruins yours clothes, 0 response from after hour emergency, and many more issues look no further... on the serious note this place has gone through 6 managers in the past year so that should say something... pool only worked 1 month put of the summer. My fire place collapsed it took 4 months to get fixed.... this place has so many issues it's not even funny. Cops are always here....
There was food in the track of closets, the water heater closet was in just the worst condition i had ever seen any part of any apartment and there was a clear infestation, most likely due to the amount of food left in strange places, and the kitchen was really gross. The fridge had not been cleaned, neither had the hood above the stove. I have been told that the property paid for the carpets to be cleaned and the apartment itself to be professionally cleaned but there is no way that it had actually been cleaned, regardless of if they paid or not, proof being the legos and q tips i continue to find, and the filth of the water in the recovery tank after i cleaned the carpets myself at my own personal cost. And on top of all of that there is water damage,paint damage and crayon markings all around the unit, leading me to believe that these things were not completed in the first place or not inspected upon reported completion. Not to mention the food splatter in random places such as the living room and hallway and strange paint marking and stains in the doorways. Its crazy that even when concerns are brought to the property management here that they want to take no responsibility for the condition at which they choose to lease it and wont have the integrity to even acknowledge the vast amounts of your time that they waste. I’ve even come there during business hours just to see people that have APPOINTMENTS Outside and waiting for over 30+ minutes before they get frustrated and leave. You can request specific information thats important and they pick and choose what to acknowledge and will be the first ones to blame you or tell you that you’re wrong before getting any of their facts right. Would not recommend even to an enemy.
I'm a current tenant and ever since Shawna and Daniel started running this place things have been so much better. 9 times out of 10 your stuck with jerks for landlords but these 2 human beings are the nicest, considerate and passionate about thier tenants and property. Daniel always keeps us in the loop from vehicles parked in the wrong spot, to loud music and even the timeline for the pool reopening. I won't get into to much detail but when I was at my lowest and needed someone there for me, they both were period. This will be by far the best apartment complex in all of topeka...
Good place to live. Not a lot of crime or disterbances really. Daniel and Shawna do a wonderful job, and so does the maintence. If you call the office with an issue Daniel and Shawna are great at getting on top of it. The maintenance guys are usually very quick to come fix whatever issues you have. All around I would recemend living here. Between the awesome looking apartments and the management I really like it.
Lived here for a year, just signed for another year. Daniel and the staff are very responsive to any questions or issues, and are proactive in keeping the place neat and quiet. Great value and location.
We were considering moving to this complex, however on two occasions the person who was supposed to be giving the virtual tour did not bother showing up. They kept offering to reschedule us, but twice waiting in a zoom room for 15+ minutes with no word from anyone is enough. Moving is already stressful enough without people wasting your time. If management thinks it's okay to waste the time of potential tenants, then I would hate to see how they behave once they have your money.
Have currently lived here for almost 5years. Have had some good management and some not so good. For the most part I like living here for the convenience. Wish if they were going to continue to raise the rent that they would update our apartments. Cabinets and doors are OLD. Need new caulking around doors and windows. Lots of cold air comes in. Never really noticed it until this winter. Most times when I’ve needed maintenance work completed it is done in a reasonable time. Don’t really have issues. I like that they have taken the carpet out of the dining area. Has been replaced with nice wood look vinyl flooring in dining room and bathroom. Makes apartment look more updated now just need cabinets/doors/windows. This is the only place I have lived since moving to Topeka so can’t compare it to any other apartments.
Wouldve rated them zero stars if i could. New management her name is Tannya doesn’t know what she is doing at all, has absolutely terrible communication, and is rude as hell. Electricity bill is $200+ because there is cold air blasting through the edges of my doors and windows, hot water lasts literally 10 minutes, the complex looks nice on the outside and they make the landscaping cute to distract you from the fact that its old and falling apart. I wish i wasn’t stuck on a year lease here, dont make the same mistake that i did.
Daniel is so amazing and management is so respectful and willing to help you with anything you need. I love it here. Apartment is clean and rent is reasonable.
