This is a great festival nestled in beautiful pines with a nice stage and covered audience area for the whole family to enjoy.
Music abounds at the 20th Annual White's Beach Traditional Family Bluegrass Festival on July 21st and 22nd, 2017. This bluegrass festival is a real treat to attend. Nestled in the beautiful pines at White's Beach in Brunswick, Maine, you will get to listen to fine regional bluegrass bands beginning on Friday night from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Bring your family and enjoy the beach area and snack bar while listening to fine entertainment that will get your feet tapping and hands clapping. You can purchase a day ticket, evening ticket or weekend ticket. Note that there is free field camping with the purchase of a weekend ticket.. Camping with electrical hookups is also available in the campground for a fee.
The joy of camping at this bluegrass festival is listening to or joining in on jam sessions that start early and are ongoing in the fields. Bring your instruments and sit in with these great musicians and jam the night away.
There will also be a Slow Jam Workshop hosted by Bill Thibodeau from 5 to 6 p.m. in the pines. This is open to all who love bluegrass and want to learn to jam with other musicians. The only requirement is that you know your 3 basic chords (C, D & G) on your instrument.
Day patrons should remember to bring lawn chairs so you can sit comfortably while watching the shows. There is a covered pavilion to protect you from sun or rain.
