Fantastic practice for my kids. Many complain because they cannot get an appointment. I love that Julie keeps her practice small enough to handle her patients. I’ve been to so many doctors that don’t limit their patient load/schedule. That is a nightmare when you have an appointment and end up sitting and waiting. I can text or call and get immediate help with my boys needs or for random questions any mom would have! Many complain that they didn’t get contacted back. It’s very simple, Julie has a waiting list. When your name comes up for availability, you will be called! Calling repeatedly won’t get you in sooner... nor will leaving bad reviews for company policy you don’t agree with. I have several friends who waited over a year but got in when their name came up on the list.
We love Julie! My three daughters have been patients of Julie’s for about 8 years now and we are so happy with her. Unlike some other review stated, Julie IS very professional but she is in high demand she’s worth every penny! and because of that sometimes there is lapse in communication but extremely few and far between. My family and I are so happy with her we highly recommend her to families who are looking for a more traditional and natural approach to pediatric care. We love you Julie!
I love Julie she is amazing and have caught things with my daughter early on twice this year! One being a cyst that had to be surgically removed and the surgeon said he was impressed that a general pediatrician knew to give her dual antibiotics for this type of infection. The second was a tongue and lip tie and the surgeon who is know very well for laser removal Dr. Segal said he has been referred to by a lot of pediatricians and Julie is by far one of the very best. She also can not take any new children right now because people love her so much. Don’t let one person 1 star review make up your mind about Julie. She truly is the very best!
Julie DeVuono, the owner of Wild Child Pediatric Healthcare in Amityville, and her employee, Marissa Urraro, are both charged with felony forgery, and DeVuono also is charged with offering a false instrument for filing. Both were arraigned
I moved to LI in 2017 and was so excited to find out about this practice. I continually searched their website and called for new patient openings but was unsuccessful until this Summer when I discovered they were accepting new patients. I quickly reached out to them, communicated with their office sent them the medical records and due to their office hours was not able to schedule a visit until next week when my Husband was able to take vacation and can drive us I don't drive, anyway, I reached out to them and they said sorry we aren't accepting new patients. I explained that I had already been entered into their system, that I had been working with Danielle in their office I even sent them the emails and text message confirming we were set up, I left VM message as well. No one has called back but the new receptionist told me that Danielle no longer works here, we can't help you, sorry. This has been by far the most unprofessional experience in my entire life. I think it is absolutely appalling to treat people with such disregard which leads me to think, of this is how you treat a new patient, you must treat all patients in the same way.. I am just so disgusted. especially when school starts next week and I need forms filled out for my daughter. If they weren't accepting new patients then update those patients whose information you already had, tell them they are on a waiting list, update your FB page.. But to not communicate and then when you do to do it so rudely is just so beyond inconsiderate..
Very unprofessional, doesn’t answer phone calls or contact you back . answer text messages back when ever she wants to. Tell you to call or contact her back in a month or so, then when you do she tells you the same thing . She’s isnt takin new patients . She sorry it’s the same thing every single time you contact Julie . 6 month I been trying to see Julie and no luck what so ever .
Contacted them a few months ago as I was searching for a new pediatrician. Julie was very responsive , back and forth via email, until I mentioned my insurance and now I was willing to pay if she did not accept it, she then stopped answering completely and never responded again. I take this as discrimination of my insurance.
We love working with this practice. Julie is supportive and knowledgeable, always listening to my concerns and provides alternative treatment ideas.
