Great place! Beautiful landscape with awesome animals and very informative volunteers. We were a few minutes late but the entire team was incredibly accommodating. The tour was really cool and definitely worth every penny but the cost per ticket was not high to begin with. They have a truly special place here. You can tell each and every animal is cared for and attended to very well much better than some other places we’ve been. The care and mindfulness of even Ohio’s native species is evident. We really enjoyed it! This is the kind of place you leave feeling happy and upbeat having had a great time, and also having learned quite a bit more than when you came in.
This place is truly a hidden gem of a place. When we went there we were not sure what to expect. We went there with our 2 kids 5 and 1 year old but me and my wife enjoyed it even more than the kids :. This is a very unique place and offers a very unique experience, we were greeted by warm and welcoming staff and volunteers. They walked us through the entire zoo offering a concierge service, very warm and friendly. The staff and the founder are very passionate about the animals and their guests. Truly a wonderful place that is highly recommended to families.
One of our favorite experiences! My husband and I drove over 4 hours from Pennsylvania to visit and it far exceeded our expectations! We did two tours over two days: The Sundowner Safari and the Zoo Adventure tour. Both tours were fantastic! The Sundowner Safari Tour was a perfect BYOB date night where we got to meet the animals in a relaxed, adults-only atmosphere. The Zoo Adventure tour is best suited for children, but still absolutely enjoyable for family members of all ages as there are many opportunities to pet and feed the animals. Although the main reason for visiting was to meet Cassie the Sand Cat, my absolute favorite animal! I was able to find something to love in each animal there. Quality over quantity is definitely the mission, because by the end of the tour, you'll know every individual animal's name and story. I didn't know much about cape porcupines before our tour, but I was so pleasantly surprised to meet Acacia, who has such a beautiful personality and is so friendly! I even bought a shed quill as a souvenir! Amanda and Brian are incredible people. Their passion for the animals is evident in everything that they do, and they have an amazing story to tell. You can tell that these animals are well-loved by them. My favorite part of Wild Hearts is that their passion for conservation is so evident in everything that they do. They have a holistic approach to conservation that is community based, both at the farm here and in their outreach work in Africa. I'm so excited to hear about their upcoming expansion and I'll be so excited to see the amazing things that they do as Wild Hearts grows!
My wife and I found this zoo incidentally while looking for a unique glamping experience on AirBnb. As lovers of nature and animals, we were pleasantly surprised to discover such a treasure on the same beautiful property! We were so pleased to meet Amanda and her husband who gave us a friendly greeting and introduction when we arrived. Before settling into our tent, we were introduced to JT the red-tailed hawk standing right in front of us on Amanda’s arm. We enjoyed a warm, cozy and dry night in our spacious bell tent even though it was raining, and in the morning we toured the zoo. Amanda shared the inspiring background of how Wild Hearts came to be as well as her ambitious plans for the future. We loved meeting and learning about the various animals as well as the tremendous conservation efforts Amanda and her husband Brian are a part of. As members and frequent visitors of the Cincinnati Zoo, it seemed so special and unique to visit Wild Hearts which is much more interactive and intimate. We enjoyed learning each animal’s name and personality as Amanda taught us interesting facts about them. We can’t wait to return with the kids! Amanda, please tell Lolli the Duck, Cassie the Sandcat, Penelope the Ostrich, Eleanor the Eagle, Acacia the Porcupine and all the other animals we said Hi!
The staff at Wild Hearts is very kind! It was our first time going and we took our 11 month old son as an early birthday present and he loved being able to see the animal and even pet a few! They were very patient and accommodating for him as well. Would recommend to anyone who loves animals!
We loved our visit to Wild Hearts Zoo. Our visit exceeded our expectations and we found it to be very educational, exciting, and fun. The owners were also very patient and kind to all three of our toddlers. We definitely plan on going back.. Thank you, Amanda for a great experience.
It was smaller than expected but very interactive and fun. Staff was unbelievably accommodating and kind. The place is easy to miss if looking for it. A large sign outfront is recommended. We will be back!!!
We cannot say enough about the work that Wild Hearts is doing in the conservation of wildlife. What an inspiration and heartwarming effort these folks do for those creatures who cannot speak for themselves. A worthwhile group to support. Check them out!
Beautiful landscaping and very welcoming environment leading up to the zoo. Staff was knowledgeable where they could be and asked questions when they couldn’t, kudos to the volunteers here they did an awesome job getting kids engaged and entertained. Great selection of animals in this small but mighty! and growing conservation zoo. Host was accommodating when last minute changes needed to be made to the reservation date. Personable and very one on one feel for the tour. Thank you all so much!
The sundowner trip was so much fun. We had an awesome time talking with Amanda and her husband. All of the animals were beautiful and happy. We can't wait to visit again and watch this Zoo grow. :
